@@tobiasd5354 I mean... all we ever wanted from this game, is basically AC Black Flag. All they had to do was take Black Flag, make it PVP, cut out the Assassin part of it, give us updated modern graphics and in depth ship customization, give us new sword fighting mechanics (like in For Honor, but perhaps slowed down attacks by 15% and simplify it to only light/heavy strikes from 3 directions and blocking) and send us out into the world..... I mean how hard would that have really been?

The pirates was using a a 3rd rate ship of the line (Man'O'War) in this trailer. But there is none playable ship like this in the actual game...

To all of you waiting on this game, it is STILL on production. The reason of its massive delay was for them to make Skull and Bones a more ambitious game, so they went back into development. Ubisoft Paris has teamed up with Ubisoft Singapore to work on the project. That is all, friends. Buh bye.

A historical fantasy single player campaign with all the mechs from AC Black Flag including ship selection, and customization and character creator without the AC stuff and a new exciting big open world environment is what I wanted. Not whatever mess this game turned into. Pirate games are not like pirate movies, there aren’t many of them, so there was real gold here. And Ubisoft blew it away.

there are two briggs and a beautiful frigate with two cannon decks in the game.

People wanted a black flag like game, but with a pirate storyline. Not a mobile game, where you can't engage in sword combat.

This was 7 years ago when the hype was to the top now its next to zero after the last beta 😢.

What do you mean, they got slaughtered too easily. It's stupidly unrealistic, the VOC were badass who surely wouldn't leave that much valuables unguarded.

Something that I think would be an interesting addition to the game, maybe as DLC, would be to show pirates around the world. Chinese pirates in the Pacific Ocean or South China Sea attacking vessels with their junks, or maybe Barbary Corsairs in the Mediterranean or Black Sea attacking vessels with their xebecs.

I really wish this game stayed this cool and wasn’t turned into a soulless shell with a ridiculous and goofy aesthetic.

This looks absolutely stunning. I hope that they had some actual ships from history. Just imagine sailing in the Vasa or Sovereign of the Seas!

IMO Assassins Creed Black Flag was one of the best if not THE best Assassins creed game, So even if this game is nothing but an expansion without the assassins ill still be so down for it!!

lmao nevermind, no longer excited for this game. I did some more research on it and found out its just multiplayer battles and you can't even get off your ship. So its just a watered down version of Black Flag. This game is based off of just Pirate SHIP battles and the ship battles look no different from black flag just now you can play with some people and against some people.

pain this game could've been incredible, now look at what we have...

Skull and Bones is nothing like Sea of Thieves, it is something literally NO ONE asked for. Ubi seems to think that people enjoyed World of Warships.

Spiked Pigeon Ubisoft brought us one of the best pirate games to date(even tho is was about assassins). The market for pirate games is stale and empty. Ubisoft will do well in closing this power vacuum

Maybe they've pushed the game back a couple of years to introduce actual gameplay. I think the backlash from people wanting to be able to have swordfights and explore off the ship islands was quite huge, so with any luck they'll have listened. I mean, you can't go backwards from AC Black Flag and expect people to be happy about it.
