​@@3buniverse Honestly, I am old and actually pretty bummed out that his new stuff doesn't hit me the way it used to. Like, I was in my mid 20's when monsters and sprites dropped, and it was amazing. So many great memories. It was literally the anthem for the year and more. It inspired SO much amazing music and brought so much more attention to the "culture," if you will. The experience is beyond words, IMO. He and his music aren't the issue. It's totally me if I am being honest. TBH, I forgot I made this comment, and looking back on it, I regret it. Real talk, it's my issue and not his or his productions at all. Sorry if I bothered anyone with my comment. I was entirely out of pocket. I completely, legitimately, and genuinely want his music to impact others the way it affected me. It was a great time, but I am old now. I am almost 40 and turning into that "Remember when music was good" dude. I never thought I would feel the way I do now about a lot of things. I think it's just aging. I totally love the dude and the community and want the best for all of y'all. Sorry for the bother, my guy.

This really makes you appreciate not only Skrillex's insane mastery (obviously), but also a small taste of the culture displayed here. Tbh it reminds me that no matter what culture or heritage we have, we all have something in common and we're all human. Love each other and try to learn more about each other. What has never changed has been Skrillex’s ability to impress and exhilarate you. He is seriously a creative master. He is always moving in new directions and surprising you.

Apparently this is a song about a wedding and the footage is mostly from a TV show

You don't get a lot of songs that celebrate female strength. I always wonder where Skrilkex gets his inspiration from. I'm guessing he knew a few strong females who had been through shit in their lives, this is just a beautiful masterpiece. ❤

Encontrei ele em uma festa em São Paulo, na qual ele nem estava escalado no lineup, porém os amigos dele iam tocar e isso já me deu a expectativa de encontrá-lo. Passei a festa inteira no front, imaginando que ele poderia chegar e dominar tudo, da mesma forma que ele fez em outras festas em São Paulo. Insanamente ele chegou por último como surpresa e fez geral pular e viver um momento inesquecível… Eu estava muito perto dele, estendi a mão em sua direção e ele retribuiu com um aperto de mão, me deixando viver o que eu mais queria. Pelo incrível que pareça, no momento em que apertou minha mão, ele estava encerrando seu set com “deixa acontecer naturalmente” música na qual fez total sentido naquele momento. Obrigado Skrillex pela vivência, para fechar com chave de ouro, no final do rolê consegui fazer uma foto com ele.

What i can interpreted from what i saw here and read on the director's IG. The plot tells that little girl was a refugee or somewhat a victim of war, she grew up, embraced her past and started a revolution, to be more of herself. It's somewhat all about revolution from the pov of arab/turkish (?) women, who could be a victim of oppression/violence/war,

and on a personal level this is very refreshing to see in electronic music. I feel like what happens so often is a white washing when sampling sounds from other cultures, basically colonizing their sound and leaving those people marginalized and taking all the spotlight. A recent one that comes to mind that really bothers me is "behind the sun" by ODESZA. I don't know what went on behind the scenes of XENA but it feels like a breath of fresh air to me in mainstream electronic music and I am grateful that this incredibly impactful song and video exist.

I remember the stars released in the album "gost" in 2009, good times..

When skrillex makes a music video, you always think it was a trailer for a movie or something because, every frame is so wallpaper-able.

Good mix come from the input, Mastering Engineer (Lucas Pretolesi) even if he is the best in the world dont do much. You need good production/sound design for this level and not much artist only acheive this quality because they are not sound designer/Engineer like Sony is also.
