U gotta listen to more dubstep then! The underground UK scene has been going strong for two decades and is better than ever at the moment. Check out artists like Headland, Drone, Eva808, Kahn & Neek, etc. You're missing out on some gold

Yeah, this one has a sweet rimshot snare and and the vocal chops are quite different. Also it's played out at like 148bpm but the final release is 140.

@@liam7854 Agreed. The original vocal cut in the intro with "all the hurt and pain" sounded better than the "don't you see the tears" autotune. Only a tiny difference but I preferred it as it was. Final track is still a belter tho

Yeah, the official one feels more empty, at least when it comes to the drop, he removed the vocals going back and forth during the drop which made the flow better, also filtered the synth

Demo is better and more complete than the official version, at least when it comes to the drop, the official one sounds more empty. The female vocals going back and forth on the drop gives a flow that was removed in the official version.

I understand Skrillex is obscenely popular in comparison to almost every other producer, but there's rarely ever any respect given to those collabing with him in these comment sections. Sleepnet is literally one of Skrillex' mentors, without Noisia's influence he wouldn't be the producer he is today. This track isn't just Skrillex.

Totally agree..I lost interest in dubstep shortly after the Scary Monsters dropped...Was a banger as a climactic segment for a set, absolutely, but it spawned a shitty subgenre where every single track in a set had to have those stupid gated vocals he popularized.

skrillex didnt really kill dubstep, he rebirthed it, and i do believe that in the long term it was good for all dubstep. we have artists like peekaboo and tvboo selling out 100000 person venues, we have the lables wakaan and gravitas (from clozee and liquid stranger respectivly) and nowadays, a kid with a laptop and a dream can make it big with whatever kind of dubstep they choose, deep or not!

@@one_man_community eh it sounds like a lot of stuff on Duploc to me. i'm suprised Skrillex finally made something i like and i'm happy that he is making this sort of stuff now. Joker is also an incredible artist and this clearly has a lot of his dna on it too. but yeah this does sound like the stuff a lot of well respected 140 producers were already making. i recomend looking at Duploc's more recent releases if this sound is speaking to you. i'd also check out Samba, Compa and TMSV and of course the rest of Joker's discography if you are curious and wanna hear more of these vibes.

What is with every single producer in modern times. Every drop is most biggest letdown of all time. Every time I see something new from producers I love, virtual riot/Skrillex/pendulum/etc. It's like yo I'm gonna make this cool buildup. Some melodic stuff. Some cool bass stuff. And then we're going to drop a splice drum loop and wack on an empty glass for 2 minutes. It's so upsetting genuinely. Skrillex specifically hasn't made an interesting drop in many many years. Idek why I check anymore. The drop as an actual concept is fucking dead. And I'm sad about it (Yes I'm very very familiar with Uk/OG dubstep. You can compare the rhythms but the sound design is dead and buried)
