@@saylezz Yes maybe the VERY roots of dubstep were reggae and 2 step, but it evolved and became a thing. Yes there are drum and bass and trap beats, but dubstep was about engineering new sounds and making wompy music. Trapstep came from dubstep. Drum and bass is boring in my opinion. This track has way more production and engineering.

I'm never ready for Skrillix his always just something I remembered or just hear on my KZread Playlist and it's always a banger. I'm sleeping on skrillex just glad he ain't sleeping on his music

It really feels like the old Skrillex from 2013 or before. I remember listening to him while I was a teenager. And I still enjoying it absolutely LOVE IT 🔥

The way this track is produced... is incredible... so many layers and still nothing gets in the way of that distorted bassline... HOW!!! FUCKING MASTERPIECE. Been following skrillex ever since... he is certainly doing some bits!!!

Skrillex did for me while I was busy listening to riddim when I'm in my dubstep fase (I switch between gengres alot). What I heard from him wasn't really my thing but I didn't hear alot so can't base a valid opinion on his music from that. Scary monsters & nice sprites was a revelation for me though when I was younger but BAR9 midnight was the first dubstep song I heard and it's filthy af and more my thing dubstep wise. This is fucking insanely dirty and beautiful at the same time.

To be clear I wasn't discrediting anybody else's work with this comment. Everybody knows somebody they'd add to the list, and I don't doubt anybody's choice considering we're all here.

This sound design is just... wow.

This is a insane piece of sound engineering and the levels to this will be hard to beat

This song makes me stand still, close my eyes, and phase in and out of reality.

The dubstep we used to hear in the 2010-2014 era was such a classic genre for our generation and I'm so happy it birthed genres like this one. Skrillex is still a legend
