I am half from your country and half Greek, and I think the best is to call it Slavic Macedonia or smth like that bc the ancient Macedonia was Greek, and every historical Macedonian figure is Greek. We are Slavs who just got our name from the region that is named Macedonia who happens to not belong to Greece anymore. Greece owns only the southern part of it now, but as I said before macedonian history is greek history and people should know that you're not related to them

Please refer to the country as Republic of North Macedonia. It's illegal to call it Macedonia! According to the bilateral Prespes agreement, Greece allowed them to use a similar name to the Hellenic Makedonia under the condition that they would not claim any connection to the ancient Hellenic Kingdom of Makedonia.

Greeks: I understand that Slav-Makedonian nationalists piss you off ( me too me too) but you hate this country more than countries who have done the worts atrocities on earth. And stop generalising people. North Macedonias are Slavs and they know that. Just because one/two extreme nationalist politicians say things like GrEeKs ArE hIsToRy ThIeVeS, AlExAnDeR tHe GrEaT iS oNe Of Us, NoT gReEk doesn't mean that all 2M people believe the same. And the name comes from the region they live in. They live in the part of Macedonia that happens to not belong in Greece anymore. They live in Macedonia even though they have nothing to do with ancient Macedonian historical figures-those are greek North Macedonias: stop pissing them off in the comments. The country is called North Macedonia whether it should be that way or not and don't make a big deal in the comment section. First from the Bulgarian Empire, then the Ottoman Empire, and later after the Balkan wars, we managed to get back a part of it and unite it with motherland Greece. MACEDONIAN ethnicity did not exist until the 1940s when Tito, Stalin, and Dimiteov decided to name you like that with the hope to get access to the Aegean. Your ethnicity was identified as a slavic Macedonian in 1992 with the note that you don't have any connection with Hellenic Makedonia, King Alexander, or anything related with that. The reality is that you are slavic, NOT related in any way to the ancient Makedonian Kingdom, which is undeniably identified by every single historian on this planet as Hellenic. The name of your country has to be referred to as the Republic of North Macedonia, so it does not create any confusion or relation with the real Makedonia, which is in Greece. That's the simple truth!!! So keep your slavic Macedonian ethnicity, stay in your Republic of North Macedonia, and stop stealing.

By the way Skopje was the capital of Serbian empire, and car Dusan the mighty. By the way in Matka Canyon Serbia has very unique church built by Andrias, brother of Kraljevic Marko. Lol they’re practically culture appropriating everything Albanian and calling them Macedonian 😂😂😂 1) mother Theresa is Albanian from Shkup (Skopje), 2) the architect of Hagia Sophia in Istanbul was an Albanian from Shkup 3) the fortress seen in the video dates from Illyrian times (ancestors of Albanians) and is from 2nd century bce,before the invasion of the Slavs in 7th century.The castle was rebuilt by the ottomans later on but the foundation dates since antiquity.
