How do you get the numbers to come on. No matter what I do it says safe & nothing else. Thank you in advance

My CD player doesn't turn on at all I've checked the fuse there good so baffled help would be great cheers 2005 mk1 fabia.

If it doesn't light up at all then you need to check the connection at the back as these can dislodge themselves from the unit when re-fitting them, if OK and fuse is good a multi meter on the lead can prove that power is/not going to the unit. If you have power then the unit or internal fuse may have gone. VCDS may only tell you what you already suspect. Try another unit if you can get access to one. Hope this helps :-)

Just got a stereo from the scrapyard, and the book, but no number. Any recommendations for online providers? And hoping that the ECU remembers my car's original cassette stereo just in case this doesn't work, as no number came with that either when I bought it.

Sorry I have never had to use one so can't help there. It is a shame the book you got from the scraper doesn't have it. It is on a sticker on the first page of the book. Hope you get it sorted :-)

This working on skoda fabija 2001

please i need help with my skoda superb symphony stereo, whenever i startup the car and turn on the stereo SAFE blinks for like 6 times on the display then i see a little 1 numeral digit on the bottom left of the display then 1000 on the centre of the screen then i input the right 4 digit code but the stereo wont unlock until if luckly i turn it on another time and only 1000 comes up then all will be fine if i input the code but if i am unlucky which i always am when that little 1 digit shows up on the bottom left along with the regular 1000 then no matter how many times i input the right code it wont unlock. please help me

Sorry to hear that you are having such a problem. It could be your stereo unit is recognising power loss when the car is stood a while, check that the battery is in good condition and then make sure the earth ground is actually grounding to the car (the cable attached to the wheel arch) or that there is somthing 'ON' that drains the power like the boot or glove-box light (parasitical drain) Hope this helps:-)

You need the correct code. There is a number on the unit, take that to get a code from the company that gets a working code for your particular car :-)

I want to play songs using Bluetooth on it. It gets connected with my phone but i can't hear any sound of it. Don't know how to enable that

what you show us here ? how to put in numbers? or how to put in when you dont know your code?

Sir, I also have a Skoda Fabia MK1 6Y5, I removed the battery several times, it says "SAFE" on the radio as well as you, and in the bottom left corner number 2. It does not respond to any commands or when I press any button, no number appears 1000 like you. I don't touch the radio for 72 hours, but it's still the same problem. What should I do?

Have a look at the fuse: 45 on the side of the dash first. then also the fuse on the back of the radio; you need to take it out, worth a check. I would disconnect the radio and re-connect at back also. Make sure battery is fully charged (12.6v=good bat). When you get the '0's insert the code. Hope this helps, let us know how it goes :-)

For a long ago I switched the radio. Now I want to transform the symphony unit in a cd player and put it in a study room with two old hi-fi speakers. In the back we can find the 2 ISO connections and in the top a third connection. Do you know the pinout of the third connection and if it has "line in"? Thank you for teaching us work with cars.

Sorry I couldn't advise on this as it is not my area of knowledge. I have looked online and it seems to suggest there might be a line-in 3rd from top right on the top blue connector row, but not sure if top or bottom will be your one :-)

jag har en skoda symphony exakt som din. Jag pillade på den och tryckte fel kod. Nu står det bara 2 Safe. (den blinkar i början 2 safe 3 gånger) Sedan står det bara 2 safe. Don't worry you are not crazy; you have entered an incorrect code two times and will have to wait an hour. if you have the correct code just wait and hour or two (incorrect entries increases time before you can enter code again) enter correct code and you are good to go. Unless there is a fault with the radio, then a new/second hand radio with code is best. Oroa dig inte, du är inte galen; du har skrivit in en felaktig kod två gånger och kommer att behöva vänta en timme. om du har rätt kod är det bara att vänta och en timme eller två (felaktiga inmatningar ökar tiden innan du kan ange koden igen) skriv in rätt kod och du är klar. Om det inte är något fel på radion så är en ny/begagnad radio med kod bäst.

It is on a sticker in the front of the audio handbook if you have it. If the unit has been put in later by someone they may have written it on top or back of the unit so worth slipping it out to have a look :-)

The SECURITY CODE is found in the front of the owners entertainment manual or can be acquired from online sellers by quoting your serial number of your stereo radio/CD unit. Take the unit out to obtain the serial number, which is on the back of the unit. Some also write the code on the unit if you are lucky. Otherwise the manufacturer/dealer can also obtain the code for you but requires further information and cost to obtain a code. Hope this helps and thank you for watching:-)

Then there is probably no power getting to the unit. Check/replace fuse 45 and the unit fuse on the back of the radio when you take it out, 10amp if i remember :-)

Take the radio out and have a look on it and the back. Sometimes a thoughtful owner may have put the 4 digit code on it somewhere. If not then the long code on the back is needed to get a code for it. You can go to the main dealer who may understanding and give you the code or mostly they will charge and ask for proof of ownership/identity etc or go online and there are companies that can give you the code for a fee, but be careful as I've heard that some of these just take your money and don't give you the correct code. I have never had to do it so if there is anyone on this channel that knows a reliable code supplier please pass on their details :-)

You’re a life saver, my mum went 4 years without a working radio and I fixed it for her! I felt so smart and proud of myself when really all I did was find the code and copy what you did 😂😂 thanks man!

Is there a way to reset the code if I don't know the code?

Yes, you need a specialist that does that. They use the other code on the unit, so jot that down and then look for a reputable specialist. I'm sorry I don't of one, many are on eBay for little money, but you need to know which are genuine. Possibly you have an audio specialist shop in your area that can point you in the right direction. Once you have the code, write it down in the manual and if you want on the unit itself - that's what I do . Alternatively buy another unit with the 4 digit genuine code; that is also what I have done, good luck :-)

I have a problem, I have same radio but it wont show the 4 digit number.. It says just SAFE. I tried few times without knowing the code and maybe blocked it? I dont know. Any idea what the problem is, how to get another chance to set the code? (I know him now)

press the 1-4 digits. If you get the code wrong you can re-enter it after waiting, but this extends with each time you repeat a failure from 10 seconds to 24hrs.

Hi mate I put the wrong code in only once I’ve now got the proper code but it’s not letting me change the 4 numbers it’s just stuck on 1000 any ideas

Every time you input wrong numbers it locks it up for a time which increases the more wrong numbers you input. You have to wait some time as I mention in the video before you can input new numbers. If it still won't work check you are doing the steps correctly and pressing the correct buttons. If still no luck then unfortunatly It maybe faulty.

@@HatBoyHarvey thanks yeah I’ll only entered the wrong number once on your video you say after 10 attempts you have to wait 24hr but after that one attempt it’s won’t let me change the number I’ll leave it a few days see what happens thanks for the reply

Sorry I haven't come across this before. After a little research it appears these units have the ability to add a phone kit to mute the radio and use the speakers for phones. There is a settings menu you can access by pressing the TP menu then use the forward buttons to scroll through to the phone setting which should be set to NO. But with yours stuck on the phone display my guess is you wont be able to access the menu either. have you tried disconnecting/reconnecting/recoding the unit, also worth checking the connections haven't been messed with at the back. You have to wait increasingly longer time each time you enter the wrong code until the 1000 number appears (changes on each attempt say 3 time = 3000 appears after 5mins). attempt 3 = 5 mins, 4 = 21mins, 5 = 1.5hrs, --- 8th attempt 24hrs.
