I bought a 2012 superb almost new then. 138.000 miles later now. I’ve replaced the brakes and windshield wipers. And service of course. If Skoda keep going the way they do now they’ve got another loyal costumer. No wonder taxi drivers drive Skoda.

Looks very competitive indeed, but the Mazda 6 wagon has far more personality, style, is more fun to drive, (I think) it has a more desirable badge, it's more unique, and it's cheaper.

I can't speak for the current generation but just went from a 2010 Mazda 6 (loved it) to a 2011 Superb, both estates. The Mazda had slightly more poke but is outmatched by the Skoda in pretty much every other way. The Superb was about £1500 more though, maybe not a fair test.

MrWardEC Yes you are correct about the older models, but the 2015 model mazda6 is such a leap forward for Mazda, even when the older model wasn't all that bad. The way I see it this new Superb is a more modern rendition of the older model, while the new Mazda6 is in a completely different class than its predecessor.
