Skoda has announced that it will launch the Rapid TSI in India on 26 May 2020, along with the Karoq SUV and the Superb facelift. The 2020 Rapid TSI will be exclusively powered by a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine.
In terms of design the Rapid TSI will look no different from the model it replaces, it will continue to look like a shrunk Superb. Skoda may spruce things up with some new paint options. Interior design and features should mimic the Volkswagen Vento, as has been the case in the past.
The biggest change is the engine. Under the hood will reside a small 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine developing a not so measly 109bhp/175Nm. Transmission options could include a six-speed manual transmission along with a six-speed automatic (not dual-clutch) transmission.
Skoda Rapid TSI price starts at ₹ 7.80 Lakh and goes upto ₹ 13.30 Lakh. The price of Petrol version for Rapid TSI ranges between ₹ 7.80 Lakh - ₹ 13.30 Lakh.
