Skoda Fabia Mk1 anti roll bar bush and link replacement

Спорт

In this video I replace the anti roll bar bushes and links on my 1.9 TDI Mk1 Skoda Fabia. Replacing these parts made a real difference to the handling of the car - body roll is now much reduced.
The ARB on my car is 18mm in diameter. The internal diameter of the new bushes is 16mm in diameter. I used a Febi Bilstein repair kit (#37077) which included all of the parts.
Some tips: removing the engine undertray makes accessing the bush clamp bolts much easier, jacking up the wishbone allows you to move the drive shaft to get access to both bush bolts, make sure you have the link installed and load the suspension before torquing up the bush bolts, the bush bolts pass through an alloy sub frame so applying anti seize seems like a good idea, some silicone grease on the bush to allow the ARB to rotate easily also seems like a good idea.

Thanks Adrian. I found the most awkward bit was getting the clamp bolts started in the threads.

Yea, taking the drop links off does help, but I still found it difficult even with them off.

Great videos, I'm pretty much going to be doing all the same jobs on my fabia, do you have a link to the sill protectors you have for the jack and stands please?

I've got the 3 tonne halfords ones. I just remembered that I had to ask the ebay guy specifically for the 3 tonne compatible pads because the standard pads are for the 2 tonne axle stands. He can machine the pads to suit the 3 tonne axle stands so it's no problem, just send him a message.
