I am a major Casio fan. Of course this video talks mostly of the material used but we all know that Casio's are the most reliable watches on the market. If I had a choice- I'd always choose Casio as you can tell from the on my channel 😅

I have many Casios. However, I have one Skmei and I can tell you it's a very accurate piece. I think its even more accurate than any other one I have. It's unbelievable value.

I get a lot of hate for saying this- although homage brand they do have accurate watches. I even read a blog from a well-known blogger who tested the Skmei 1426 and found it one of the most accurate watches there is. Of course Casio is Durable and will always have my heart but credit needs to be given where it's due..

I had fake casio from vietnamese stall when kid before 2004 with silver metal case, metal strap, individual symbol for each day in row and incandescent bulb backlight, blue strips on glass like A164WA and FOUR buttons! I was stunned why real casio have just 3 buttons and can't accustom one is missing. Wear it 8year until met big rain and moisture got in and display start show random segment. I try to find same looking original casio with all that features and four buttons but never found.

Agreed. Whoever is in the market for a F-91W will eventually go for a F-91W even though products like Skmei are better in some aspects (example, lighting). Nobody can dethrone Lord F-91W 😂

@@damyr Saw one in the mall. It does light up better but it looks more tacky.

As a someone who wears a watch on left hand,I wish the light button was on the right side of the case...it would be much easier to operate

Do you think brand should make a lefty verison of all watches?

I can understand a person who would buy a Omega Speedmaster or a Rolex Explorer II homage because he/she cannot afford to purchase the real thing. But honestly and rhetorically speaking, what is the point, besides the purpose of this video, of purchasing an imitation knockoff of perhaps the word's most famous and most inexpensive watch (F-91W)? What kind of person you have to be to do that?

A person who wants to review the said homage watches because for most people (especially India) a difference of 300-400 rupees is a big deal and homage is all that they can afford. I personally don't buy Skmei for myself. Tbh your comment answers your own question

Fair question for most people living in prospering economies but that price difference is substantial for many in the world that are just looking for a good watch- not their 15th Casio or a beater watch to round out their collection of Longines and Tudors. Again I get where you’re coming from but if you think people decrying homages and claiming that people should ‘simply just buy the Daytona’ are out of touch and snobbish- this is the same thing at a different scale

End of the day, if I had a choice I would definitely choose Casio as you can tell from the content on the channel. It definitely has better movement than Skmei. You do know, that although Japanese, most Casio models that are to be sold in the International Market are manufactured in China and Thailand?
