I want to thank you for the fantastic fishing experiences and your keeping it fun and clean. I am recovering from cancer treatment and your channel allows me to go fishing one or more times a day online. How much fun. I can feel the adrenaline and the tug on the line. Can't wait to get back outside and fish in real water.
Them smallmouth Buffalo pull like a freight train. I hate how they slime the line but they’re fun when your out carp’n
RICHARD your ability to catch fish is second to no one . But it's your love for the sport of fishing and your catch and release and your appreciation for the fish that make you number one . I also like how you take care of your boat and fishing equipment. You are such a great representative of what makes a great fisherman. Stay yourself always . Life is good!!

I agree with Bill C... It upsets me so much when I see people just toss fish back in without bending their lazy butts over and setting in water gently. Thanks for being a great conservationist and fisherman!!!
Richard Gene, that was one more fine mess of Crappie that you caught. Maybe one day I can get you in my boat to show me how to get on them like that!
Thank you Richard for allowing us to watch a master at work. Another great video of a true crappie catcher. Slab city today for sure. 👍🏽

You talk about some of the prettiest black striped nose crappies I have ever seen. I know I have seen you catch some before on these video's, but this one was really nice looking. Richard, you are a blessed man of God always catching fish to give faith to others that they can do it too. Bl;blessings my friend Bishop and Mrs. Kirby

Richard, great video. I did not know the facts bout fishing crappie out. I worry about it in my home river system. We have several lakes off the river that people really wear them out in. I've often wondered how it affected the population. So thanks for clearing it up, makes me feel better about my future fishing!
Great video Richard Gene. Love catching them crAppies shooting around docks
Richard it was a pleasure finally getting to meet you in person on Saturday morning in yellow creek..we was the couple under the bridge at the boat dock.. Roy and Kita from Birmingham.. my boyfriend and I watch your videos all the time.. we really look forward to meeting you again on the water soon.. keep up the good work.. cause its good for ya!!!

It's always a thrill when you hook a big fish on an ultralight. Where I live now in Colorado I've hooked quite a few pike. When I lived in Texas I was catching specks and reds with little Roadrunners and free shrimping. You might lose some that way but you get an epic battle.
Gene , YOU ARE MAGNIFICENT !!! You are either, with the help of ELMERGE and ELMO of course, the BEST FISHERMEN IN THE WORLD, or you've got ONE HECK OF A BIG GOLDEN HORSESHOE SUMMERS THERE MY FRIEND!!! GENE , What a fine, first class video!! I love every one of em!!! Im gonna try your skipping technique for sure !! KEEP'EM COMING !! Wayne Gordon

Love your videos Gene. I really enjoy fishing for crappies too. You are my idol man. Keep up the good work and keep them coming. Can't wait for the next one.
Richard. you know I"m your biggest fan. FYI The crappie you are calling "black nose" are listed in Mississippi Wildlife and Fisheries as "Magnolia Crappie." They were genetically altered years ago. They stock the small and medium-size lakes with these sterile hybrids. They use sterile crappie for bass food and for sports fishing. They know the crappie will take over a new lake if they use regular ones. They stock lakes with these fish by the tens of thousands depending on the size of the lake. They do this after they empty the lake of all fishes. "Lake Wathall" was stocked with these fish about five years ago. I have caught two of them 14.25 inches long already this year while bass fishing. Thought you might like to know. I'll bet Alabama has done the same thing. They probably get in those huge water systems you fish in due to flooding. Love your show. Keep it up.
hope to try this technique on weiss lake soon..thanx for the always informative...and no doubt exciting videos richard.,.God bless you and yours
Keep the videos coming! I'm catching a ton of crappie up here in IL!
well, even if they claim keeping will not harm the population. i still say thank you for catch and release of crappie. so we can catch bigger ones. love you show elmo
Awesome. Keep it up. Richard.

Love watching this fella fish he’s got lots of knowledge to share wish he focused more on some of the technique of how he catches the fish but it’s just great
We also have three species of crappie in lake Eufaula and big stripes. The bream and shellcracker are definitely getting big
Your so good, I can't believe you let that thing bite your jig. LOL. What were you thinking? Do you live closer to Weiss than Guntersville Lake? Good job as usual with the fishing and the video.

When I was a kid in southern Oregon-Jackson County---Hyatt Lake- they had 2-3 lb crappie and bullhead catfish to feed them ! We dined like a king on these big crappie. 1950's into the 1970 area of time; till the Fish and ?Game poisoned the lake and destroyed a tournament grade fishery.
that dock sure was holding big crappie,,i have a crappie fishing question that I hope you will answer for me,,, we crappie fish mostly around bridges,, on a windy day it is hard to get the 1/32 oz jig down to where the crappie are,,which is better,, add a split shot on the line or use a heaver jig head,, we are verticle jigging
@RichardGeneTheFishingMachine
6 жыл бұрын
In my opinion, I would go to a heavier jig head no doubt! By adding a split shot, it actually hinders the natural action of a jig when vertical jigging. Thanks for watching Glenn!
Well done. Love shooting them docks. Keep em coming cause they good fer me lol

Wow what some slabs. I’m going fishing next week and fishing for bream and shellcracker. Possible catfish. I plan to do some night fishing with a friend off a well light dock using jigs. Shad usually run in the light. We’ll be on the southern end of lake Eufaula in Alabama.
This was a first for me to see with old paper mouth with a 3 inch blue gill stuck in his mouth an chock him big black 14 inch ✌🏻🎣🦅
I might need to get you a lil orange and blue to wear though, lol.😉. I was thinking catfish on the one since they have been hitting here lately and it wasn't coming to the top, but carp have been feeding heavy my way, too.
Great work keep doing man!

Man love to watch you fish have you ever use a 1\64 oz jig head? That's all I ever use anymore. I did find some crappie under a bridge yesterday and had a blast . Keep your hooks wet and your back dry

Thank you Mryoutub59! I do like a 1/64oz! Sometimes i'll even use a 1/80 with 1lb test line
I'd say one of the main things Richard has taught me is to slow down - find the fish and sit tight. Keep fishing
