Everyone who gets their Skippers Ticket from one of the few honest training organisations in WA will have to do all of this Lachlan. However people can still get their skippers ticket with no training and no test from shonky trainers, and that will keep going until the WA Dept of Transport removes all the shonky (mostly eastern states) organisations that are using 3rd party freelance trainers to make a fast buck. We all see idiots out there in boats. Its bad enough that there are idiots with training, but those with no training and who get their RST with no competency test are often the ones that get into the most trouble. It is a fact that if those 11 tasks that are part of the test had been done correctly by the recreational boaters who lost their lives over the past ten years it would have saved almost every person.
