I love Whoopi, I really do. I, like a lot of other people, get frustrated when she sits scornfully not participating in certain topics. Been married 32 years to the same man. Valentine's Day is still fun!! Follow the mood. My mother died last week, so I don't know what I'll feel by the time my man gets home from work. We roll with life's punches, but we love each other, and we celebrate our bond. After seeing my stepdad go through the loss of his wife, his beautiful devotion to her while she was sick made me appreciate my relationship that much more. I'm grateful!!

That’s a ridiculous piece of advice. What are her credentials. If you withhold sex on the day, it could be an incentive to find a more willing partner

I think I get what the therapist means. Some people get really stressed about having the perfect Christmas with all the right decorations and presents and doing the right things and they sometimes choose to have a low key Christmas so they can enjoy themselves more and take the stress away from the occasion. A lot of people can go into Valentine’s Day with the idea of doing something new with their A game but they might still have weight from the holidays or their lingerie is ripped or they haven’t shaved in awhile and now have razor burn or the fantasy you wanted to try ends up being something you really really don’t like or the cat got sick from the lilies because the partner who got the flowers didn’t know that you can’t bring lilies around cats etc. Take away the expectation and pressure of amazing sex to relax and enjoy the night and be intimate with each other and maybe that can lead to great sex later.
