It takes a long time from the start of episode one of the first series to realise that Babylon Berlin is really just the beautiful love story of Gereon and Charlotte.

Tom Tykwer and his co-directors knew what they were doing. In the book (apparently), Lotte is m/c, not a hooker and sleeps with Gereon fairly early on. They changed all of these things because it works better for an international audience and the story as a whole.

These two are PERFECT TOGETHER! I love this series. The BEST THING on tv. The DANCING IS FABULOUS. commanding performances from these two and everyone else. The love between Charlotte and Gereon is at once heartbreaking ,inspiring and beautiful! Don’t miss it.

What a nice compilation of their shared moments ❤ Charlotte and Gereon have really special connection, they are in tune on deeper level and understand each other's feelings without much speaking. We don't doubt they are in love, even though there was only one single kiss at the end of S3.

This is what gives our world some hope.

I love Babylon Berlin,as a WW1 and WW2 amateur historian and everything in between this series is right up my alley,since there are people who haven't seen the show i dont wanna say much but that time when they had that "accident" and Gereon had to "help " Charlotte, that was very touching, you could see the desperation in his eyes, once it was over i really thought she had suffered some kind of permanent damage but after a few minutes my concerns were unfounded, what a killer show. If you want to see something similar check out Das boot, the series, one of my favorite movies from 1981 turned into a series in 2018, man those Germans sure can make a show!!

She betrayed him before he was someone important for her. He saw her loosing dignity forcedly for her little sister and survive ona strongling era for both women and men. He saved her and so did she in some manner. I'd like to meet some like beautiful n' cool Lotte at least once in my life. Can't wait for season 4.

I really cannot wait until season 4 is released on Netflix, thankfully, very soon. It's the best show of it's type on Netflix

Those two do not have that many scenes together so making a video on those two might be difficult. I agree with you those two characters do have a couple of good scenes though and I hope we see more of them in season 4.

Wagner could have written an opera about these two. Hopefully, they get a happy ending.

You have just connected my favorite series with my lifelong obsession, Wagner! WOW! Lisa Fries lives that character like no other that I have ever seen. These two have best movie chemistry of any duo,again , that I have seen.

I think we are feeling the power of this soundtrack that works similarly to Wagner's massive Leitmoven in his incomparable dramas. The music is moving us deeply as we are experiencing the social and historical forces in the music that are sweeping the characters into a Ragnorok they cannot see or understand. It's in the music. Powerful soundtrack so evocative of the era.

@@georgecampbell9638 No, because the series is only loosely based on the books, especially regarding Gereon and Charlotte's relationship. In the tv show, they have a romantic relationship, in the books, they don't, or so I've been told.
