They’re not sunscreens, they’re tone up creams. They have SPF, sure, but they’re not to be used as sunscreen. They’re supposed to be used in small amounts. I like all three of their tone up creams. I use them as foundation.

i’ve been using numbuzin for about a week and i have acne prone skin. my skin has calmed down so much and the GLOW it gives that lasts all day is insane. it’s also water based so it doesn’t clog pores. i’ve been using 3 of their products in conjunction with tretinoin, paula’s choice liquid exfoliant, paula’s choice toner, and cerave SA face wash.

Thanks for the heads-up on these Dr. Dray. For me, it doesn't matter how good a product is as far as moisturizing or sun protection, etc... If it has fragrance, it's a big no-no. I have a flexible silicone shampoo brush that I really enjoy using. I've developed arthritis in my right hand so making a 'claw' hand for shampooing makes my hand cramp. The brush helps alleviate that. 😊 I haven't tried the Laniege lip sleeping mask as I can't get past the odor. 😮

The numbuzin "sunscreens" are also tone up creams - meant to be used only a pea size amount AFTER regular SPF to replace foundation or color-correct. I like them after a MASSIVE amount of hydrating sunscreen, because they can be drying, but because of Numbuzin, MaxClinic, and HERO Cosmetics, I have a bunch of creams in different colors that mean I don't need to wear foundation. The creams sometimes do contain calamine, but you can also find milky formulas and calamine-free - though tbh with calamine is far more popular on YesStyle.

I think she is also making a huge mistake in calling them sunscreens… they are labeled as tone up creams and not sunscreens for a reason. They are a makeup/cosmetic product for evening out skin tone that happen to contain SPF (e.g., that’s why they have a green tinted product - for evening out skin with a lot of redness). I don’t think anyone is applying them in SPF testing quantities because it’s not intended to be a sunscreen, but it’s better for brands to state SPF testing values as a selling point so people know there is some amount of protection even if they aren’t applying enough to get the full SPF.

Hello Dr. Dray, are you aware some of the products on Amazon are counterfeit or tampered with? Sometimes a product is good but if you get it from Amazon, you're trusting the seller has not tampered with or been misled about what they're selling. Not all products on Amazon are counterfeit but if you have not used a product directly from the creator, it can be hard to tell if what you're getting is fresh and/or authentic. Product counterfeits have been increasing every year so just pointing this out in case it might help. :) thank you for your content and taking one for the team.

to everyone: the numbuzin tone-ups are actually a HOLY GRAIL for people with 1, minor uneven skin tones, and 2, skin that’s too dry to use foundation, unlike what she said. i use the number 1, it’s not drying at all, it feels and applies like a moisturizer. You are NOT supposed to use as much in a small area as she did! It is a BB cream with spf, not a sunscreen that you use the 2 finger method with. that’s why it looked so horrible, because the way she used it, it didn’t even have a chance to blend. I recommend using that blueberry sized amount on your entire face and neck, and it will look way, WAY better. However, it works differently for everyone, so i respect her dislike for it. If you are more tan the number 3 is better, though it applies more like a primer than moisturizer. also the toner is SO good. unfortunately I believe she recieved a fake product. Definitely don’t order it on amazon.

I have been using the numbuzin line including the No 3. toner, done wonders for my skin. As an over 40 woman this has brought back bounce and shine to my skin. I will say that if you have an allergen towards oat or anything like that sadly you will probably break out with the toner and a few other products. The Kahi stick has also done so much for my undereyes has helped with wrinkles etc.. Laneige I'm sorry is fantastic. You are saying you are getting scents, as someone has mentioned you may have received fake products as i don't get any fragrance with the Kahi stick and the No 3. toner. I dont always think reviews are helpful, its sometimes down to own opinion.

I haven't tried the two Numbuzin products you showed (they do look bad!), but I've been really enjoying the Numbuzin Porcelain Base-skip Tone-up Beige spf 50 PA++++ lately and I think you might like it. It looks surprisingly skin-like for a zinc oxide and titanium dioxide based sunscreen and reapplies pretty well. But then I do have quite fair skin, it might not work for everyone.

Absolutely love the haircut! It's so flattering on you. The Laneige Lip Mask thing, maybe it was the fragrance in it that caused the irritation? I mean those things are ridiculously fragranced. I'm glad to hear they don't have your approval though, because I did have a little two piece Laneige Kit in my 'cart' that, thankfully I can now delete. Yay! 🙌

With the tone up creams, you need to use them conservatively. Small amounts and make sure to rub in well! The green tone up needs to be rubbed in for the pigment to change colour. Its typical of korean tone ups to have some white cast, as being paler is often the goal. Maybe the n.3 tone up cream would work better for you! It's more a light beige instead of porcelain, easy to blend with a satin finish! (:

My husband says it works exactly like the one his derm prescribed for him, no more waiting at dr’s office, we run low and just go to any drugstore and pick it up! Hi Dr. Dray, the reason why Numbuzin has such a strong white cast is because of the tone up effect. Basically, in korean beauty products they like tone up products to make themselves look paler prior to putting on makeup. Therefore, that’s why there’s such a strong thick cast. Additionally, you typically only use a small amount so the tone up effect isn’t so scary looking when compared to ur neck or the rest of your body. Great video as always!!

You probably won't have enough demand to do a video on this but I just spent an hour last night under strong black lights in the 380 nm to 400 nm range and I swear my skin feels weird. I can't find any good information on led uva light and skin aging. I'm sure there is some kind of a formula for calculating how much uva one is exposed to with these lights in comparison to a tanning bed, which I know is a longer wavelength and more powerful. However, the input wattage of the black lights I have is more then half the wattage of the average tanning bed. I also couldn't find out how power is measured, such as in lumens. I'm not sure if lumens is appropriate for black light. I have zero knowledge about this stuff. I wish there were more information out there.

Interesting! I have tried the No.3 Super Glowing essence toner and OMG I LOVE IT! It does as it’s name implies I put it at night and wake up with a glow unlike the days where I use my regular cosrx propolis toner. I believe it did help with acne scars too because they’ve been fading faster than usual! I do use vitamin c serum before but with this toner I feel like it made it work faster if that makes any sense? I love the combo of the two. I do have an oily acne prone skin, it’s not sensitive and can pretty much handle strong ingredients. maybe your skin is sensitive so it didn’t work well for you idk. But I definitely would recommend this for people with acne scars or pigmentation. It’s amazing! I get my products directly from Korea tho not Amazon.

It's really interesting about the lip mask. People go crazy about it, I know people who love using it when on tretinoin. But for me, it's also drying. In fact, most lip products are drying for me, as is pure petrolatum. I find facial moisturizers on the lips work well for me (FAB cream saved my chronically chapped, inflamed lips). But dedicated lips products that are meant to be occlusive and protective don't work for me at all.
