I have been using Miaderm cream. It’s costly but so worth it. I use one with lidocaine in it and I have had hardly any pain and my skin only slightly pink after completing three weeks. My doctors are even surprised at how well I’m healing. I’m very very fair with fragile skin so I did lots of research and read about Miaderm. and it’s been life saving. My friend used aqua for and did not have very good result plus stained all her clothes. My cream does not stain. I used it three or four times a day and it was not always easy to find time but very glad I did it. We are all going through so much stress and anxiety. And having skin heal made it so much easier to do treatment. I have next week to complete treatment then after awhile will be taking pills which I’m very concerned about reading about side affects. We are all warriors and survivors in our breast cancer treatment and I just placed myself in Gods hands and pray for good outcome. Blessings to all.

@@sonamsherpa844 radiation does not hurt at all. I went five weeks and never any pain I healed with no blisters or perking because I used Miaderm cream religiously. Right after radiation I brought wit me and put it on and then again before bedtime and also very early morning. My doctors were surprised at how well my healing went.

@@scarlettthomas9091 Purchase on line. Look for Miaderm. I bought one with lidocaine in it and used that three times a day. Costly but I healed so well with it. Hello Mandy. I had no blisters or pain after radiation unlike what some of my friends experienced. Did not want Spend the money but do worth it. I Put on early morning at least three hours before radiation And right after radiation was over whole in dressing room reapplied it. I am very fair and have sensitive skin so was concerned. I reapplied cream before bedtime also. And this cream did not stain my clothes like some others. Also I did use Miaderm with Lidocaine for quite awhile but cannot remember exactly when. So just keep creaming often as Possible. We are going through enough having breast cancer and anything that can make it easier is so important. Have to say my radiation experience was fine and truthfully I was so worried after seeing what friends went through Good luck. We are all warriors in this breast cancer battle. I saw my surgeon this week and got a wonderful report so I’m very happy and praying I continue my healing.

Wishing you and your family a safe and Merry Christmas. I owe you big time, my mother was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer and had a double bilateral mastectomy on top of 11 lymph nodes removed. I first found your channel when it came to dealing with lymphedema that she got pretty bad in her feet and ankles. You taught me a lot when it came to short stretch bandages and how to wrap that really helped her situation. She's been going through radiation Monday through Friday and she's starting to get a radiation burn. KZread and Google are such useful tools but I was highly surprised while searching KZread on what products to use regarding radiation irritation to see you once again. God bless you you are an angel and we truly thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

I just finished 30 rounds with a bolus . 25 full chest , 5 boosts . All for breast cancer . It was no joke ! I felt it was totally understated especially when compared to chemo ( I did both ) and I actually found radiation after #20 very rough !!!! I used Miaderm, Aquaphor , aloe which helped . I wore zero bra all 6 weeks and used calendula soap to wash the area . I wore black cotton t shirts to hide the topicals and layered. If you experience pain you can take like alleve or if really bad tell the doc and they will give you pain pills ! They have steroid cream for itching and my fav which was lidocaine cream . Miaderm has a blend w lidocaine and that was my goto numbers 20-30! I was lucky I have very little irritation until like number 21 , then sadly those last 8 were challenging . I made it to the other side ! Just even 4 days post I can tell my skin is trying to heal . You are not alone

3M makes a Cavilon No Sting Barrier spray and the Cancer Clinic in Niagara, Ontario Canada recommends we use it for radiation. It is amazing and there is a video on their website where a staff member used it. I had 15 sessions and only used this spray. You use it for 2 weeks after your sessions Mon/Wed/Fri is when you spray throughout your sessions and for 2 weeks after.

I remember my doctor mentioning the hydronic oxygen treatment but I’m not sure what that is. I’m gonna try the vitamin e oil. I’ve tried cocabutter, and aquaphor for the itching but it doesn’t help😢

I also experienced this, though skin on the back not nearly as affected as the breast, which was horrendous for me. [Strangely the skin on my back on that side still is itchy at times, 4 years later].The techs administering the treatments explained this is normal because the radiation of course passes straight through your body; it doesn't just stop a few inches below your breast surface. This is why you were initially sent for CT scans ; they make computer drawings of the zone of radiation they'll use so as to least impact your heart and lungs.

I began the cream well before radiation, and I drank a minimum of 8 c of water per day to maximize skin hydration. I continued my 5 day/wk exercises also. I believe it all helps. My radiation was over December 23. What a nice Christmas gift I received. I used the Miaderm cream withLidocaine. I put on three times a day. Took with me and put on right away after radiation before getting dressed. As I said before I’m very fair and have delicate skin plus had lotsa skin cancer but had only pinkness and little pain and no pealing or blistering. My doctors were so pleased. Kept using and used one lidocaine free when I felt ready. I was so so concerned about taking hormone pill and thinking I might not take it but did not want reaccurrance. Ladies have to tell you I take pill right. After breakfast never on empty stomach and it’s been so wonderful. So far no side affects. And its been eight weeks so I’m feeling very positive. So it’s been a very difficult journey but I’m doing really well and place myself in Gods hands and leaving the rest up to him.
