    The center is where all the weight will be. The dowels will not be enough to support the outside.

    you could easy take out all of the wood from the first piece with the machine istead of cutting it all out lol , looks like a lot of work for a tittle job , work smart not hard :)

    I just witnessed something I never ever thought I would see aProfessional wood turner do When you drew that board back across that turning blade on that planer. A very dangerous thing to do and you should know better than that. Im 79 years old and was taught not to do that in shop class way back in the 6th grade
