Do you need a Hero to save you now, or are you just content with being Awake and Alive? Joking aside, I feel you. The world today is so much darker and more corrupt than when we were kids/teens. This is why (I think, at least) bands like Skillet are so important. Their music is so powerful, and their message is often one of hope (I mean, not THIS song in particular, but most of them). They can give us that little extra bit on energy we desperately need, whether it’s to finish a deadline on time, to confront a toxic person, or even just to get out of bed in the morning. We each have a Hero living within us, sometimes they just need to be woken up.

26 currently and i feel what you mean. I've realized that im living happier when i tell myself that i simply grown a lil older and realized more shit. Life didnt go downhill we just started to realize more things that are not as good as we thought they are. Believe me, your / our live has a long way to come, although it might went downhill, only means we picked up momentum and are ready to go up the hill with high speeds. Keep it up brother 🖤

This song was my big brother’s absolute favorite. When I was a little girl, he was a huge Skillet fan and loved all sorts of rock/metal bands. In the car, he’d play this song and sing, while I headbanged to it as a kid. Now, it’s 2023, and I’m in my teens. Safe to say that even back when I was a little girl, I absolutely fell in love with the sound. I’m still here rocking out to this song seven years later, and every time that I hear this song I think back to the memories with him. Skillet’s music will never die, no matter the ages.

It’s now 2023 and I’m 13 I used to listen to this when I was like 4 it brings back so many good memories

Even after 13 or 14 or more years goes by, this song will always go hard. Any songs use for amv or gmv such as Halo gmv, FNAF amv, Lego amv, or transformer amv, COD gmv, etc will always goes hard because they used to make us feel like the main character or a badass character when we were young.

I went on a youth trip to gatlinburg with my church as a teenager and one night they randomly told us all to get in the van because we're going to a concert. None of us had any idea who it was, then we roll up to the venue and it said "Skillet" on the billboard. I'll never forget how pumped i was when i saw that sign lol
