Hi , thank you for your time to make these very practical videos, My nephew is planning to come to Norway to study and become a professional welder and look for job in this field later. You have covered and provided information for future international student to apply for students visa to complete a Bachelors or Master degrees but it's not that easy to find the procedures for futures vocational students coming from abroad. Do you have a video for this? He doesn't speak/write Norwegian and his English is average. Can you help, Ivanna?

I don’t have video on this topic, but I would recommend to improve English. It would help your nephew anyway, but such professions as welder is not very popular in Norway.

Norway is not a member of EU, therefore EU residency permit doesn’t cover Norway and you need work visa if you want to work in Norway. However, if you have passport from one of EU countries then it is a different story, but you still need to feel some forms before you come to Norway.

Hi Lucid, yes!! 100% . There are many foreigners living in Norway who is not considered as "skilled" workers, but because they have been actively applying for jobs here and been good at writing WHAT they can do for the company, they can get the jobs.

Hi. This is a good question to UDI. But there are couple of more things to consider, if you run your KZread channel and pay for some software or other services, if your KZread earnings are less than these expenses-> it is considered as hobby. Check your contract with university, if they have specified that any other job need to be approved with them ( to know what to do after KZread moves from hobby to work status).

NOKUT will approve or disapprove your higher education papers. high school does not count as higer education in norway, only university or college university. 3 factors determine whether or not you will get a place at a certain program at a certain university: 1. how many applies. 2. how many places are available at that program. 3. how your grades compare to the grades of the other applicants.

For skilled visa either degree or 10+ years of experience and job that requires that degree or is similar to your experience.

Hi. You can already start searching a teaching job in schools and assistant professor at university. You can also apply for second master’s degree, but I would recommend considering some other direction.

The conditions for a Ph.D. in Norway are the same as before, and universities are open for non-Norwegian applicants. Your grades would have a great impact on whether you satisfy the requirements or not.
