Skiing with Data - A pro's take on using Carv

Спорт

Ulli Herbers is a highly qualified ski instructor based in Zermatt, who has been teaching for over 20 years. He has been using Carv for the past few years, both personally as well as pioneering the use of Carv in a ski school setting. However, many of his approaches will work for any level of skier, with or without an instructor. Sometimes just a new way of looking at things, and a tactical use of data can help change your skiing forever.
We caught up with Ulli for an unfiltered take on how he uses Carv, what ordinary skiers can gain from this tool, and to find out what makes a good skier, a great skier.

CARV is teaching "park and ride, hip dumping, contrived edging and exacerbating locked up turns. 35 meter turns on 15 meter skis. 😝😝😝

That's ironic. Carv, on their own site specifically call out "park and ride" as the first error advanced skiers make, so I doubt it. And I hope to god all edging is contrived otherwise you're in trouble 😅
