This will be my third visit, taking my eldest son (10) so couldn't think of a resort more appropriate for beginners. El Bait here we come!!, hope you had a great time there!

Make sure you pop down to Ponte Di Legno, a really nice tree lined area. It's covered on the lift pass, just ski down past the house where they keep the huskies.

You will enjoy it. Ideal for 3rd time. A lot cheaper than France. Try skiing the bottom area at Ponte Di Legno, especially if the weather is bad, skiing on tree lined runs for visibility.

Not a snowboarder myself, but I should think its worth going. Seems to be plenty of off piste. Lots of trees down the Ponte Di Legno end where the runs are mostly red/black. Passo Tonale end mostly blues but some blacks and reds. There are some parks for jumps/rails etc. Cheaper than France for drinks/food. Take a look at other vids by boarders. I would say give it a go. Was a bit iffy about range of skiing first time I went but was quite surprised. Slopes are well looked after and queues fir lifts practically non existent. Lots of nice modern chairs.
