Skiing in the Lake District. Ever wondered what skiing is like in England?

Спорт

If you've ever wondered what it might be like to ski in England, have a watch of this and it will give you a decent idea of what to expect. My friend Izzy and I spent a morning up in the fells at home, looking for some decent ski conditions. There is actually a rope tow at the top of Raise (very close to Helvellyn) but we missed the chance to ski there over the weekend.
As you can see the snow was questionable but it was a grand day out nonetheless. In January 2023 I managed to get an unreal ski down to Red Tarn with a friend and we had great conditions, even getting a few face shots. Unfortunately the snow wasn't in the same condition this year, but we still got some great turns in.
Skiing in the Lake District is all about timing!

Back in the the late 80's I managed one year to ski every weekend from November to late March in and around that area. Some sunny days too and got asked in work how I had managed to get a tanned face, they didn't believe me when I said skiing in the lakes and thought I had been on a sun bed lol. Good to see its still getting snow. May be I should get myself fit and give it one more go. Aiming to get back into cross country roller skiing, but as an oldie I know if I do wipe out its gunna hurt a load more than when I was young. If I get that right I might just give the lakes a go again. Great video.

Great video. Back in the late '70s, I skiied al the way down to Red Tarn on Telemark type skis. There was much more snow and I did a lot of traverses although the line looks similar. I think I came a very long way along the ridge to Helvellyn and there was skiable snow above 300m. Your kit looks pretty good although I think it's better for short up-and-down skiing than for longer Lake District touring which used to be possible on lighter nordic kit. Finally I've seen too many skiing and climbing accidents please consider wearing helmets.

Really ? Everyone I know who takes LMNT supplements is spending a lot of money on other forms of nutrition such as very high-quality food. Why would I bother making this when I get it delivered monthly and hardly even notice the cost. Because I’m spending so much on high-quality for instance meet. People take these supplements because they understand about their health and are willing to spend money on it. It would be a poor use of time, I’d spend it fermenting my old vegetables. That saves 10x.
