When encountering someone who's buried or more so "partially buried", you make contact with whatever part or piece is sticking out& squeeze. You wouldn't hear a damn thing yelling back&forth to each other. Ironically you can hear/feel claps.

That "take your time man" was so pure and innocent. He didn't care how long the skier would take, he just knew that he was going to live. He had accepted death before he was found.

He actually saved that guy's life. He was under the snow and behind the trees so he's very lucky someone saw him and was able to help.

You always ask someone that's injured if they're okay. Not to see if they're hurt, 'cause duh, but to see if they can first of all answer correctly, feel pain or if they are unresponsive despite being conscious. That man could've had his oxygen intake cut off for long enough to cause brain damage. ALWAYS ask people if they're ok.

This happened to me once. Almost lost my life. Luckily i was boarding with someone who saved me. That day gave me a new found respect for the mountain. Always respect the mountain. The mountain is unforgiving sometimes.

the reason that happens and is common it happens. is that the trees produce heat. and will make a pocket that is as deep as the tree. so if you see the tops of the tree. there some situations where you could just drop 20 feet or more into the snow upside down because you fell foward and then happen to fall into one of these. actually very common thing that happens off trail. and is something you learn when you go off trail in utah. at least i was told this and shown this.

'How did he even breathe?" He had on a full-face helmet, with the shield down. So snow did NOT pack around his face... Stars lined up for that guy that day. No way at all he would've ever saved himself - nor would yelling have helped at all. But that helmet, with shield down...bought him time. It gave him enough O2 so he could move his snowboard

Besties for life thereafter. Remarkable. A true hero to his fellow human.

Thank God the man went out of bounds and found this man in the snow.

@@user-ie1vk7ek8e Unless it's literally compressed snow formed over a couple of days, due to it's own weight, then it's about as compact as dust. The biggest problem with being stuck in the snow, is the following, F R E E Z I N G T O D E A T H !

It helped to have a. Snowboard with bright colors that showed up against the snow because thats what the rescuer noticed. I cannot imagine what the snowboarder was thinking before this terrific guy came along. He probaly thought he was a goner. I think your guardian angel guided him to you. Dont go off away from trails unless you have someone with you! He saved your life 👍🤗🫶

I can't imagine the snowboarder's relief. He had to think he was going to die there. Skier was a guardian angel that day. Sometimes, God sends you the wrong way for the right reason

If u watch the full video youd know lucky that guy was. If the skier wouldve followed his buddy left the guy wouldve never been found. The fact that a tree forced him right was nothing but a miracle.
