Great video - thank you! I am from South Africa and have skied at various ski resorts in Austria, Switzerland, & France, but Livigno has become my favourite ski destination! The slopes are usually very well groomed, and the skiing is relatively easy. As I am an intermediate skier, it suits me perfectly! I find the Italian people very friendly and welcoming. It's easy to get to and is much cheaper than most other resorts. I will be going back there this December with my family! After so many failed trips due to Covid, I can't wait to get back into the snow again!! Thanks again for sharing your experience of Livigno with us! Warm greetings from South Africa! 👍😉

Thank you, Neville. Good to know you liked my efforts and I am indefinitely surprised by people taking such a long trip for skiing. Well done and hope to see you on the slopes. :)

@@ProRookie thank you! Our opportunity to ski in South Africa is very limited, with only 2 ski runs available to us in the Lesotho mountains. The runs are only about 1 km long, and the costs to ski there are also quite high. For me, it's better to save that money and put it towards a proper ski holiday overseas. It is expensive for South Africans to travel, but life is short, and it's well worth the expense! Ciao my friend!

That is quite a dedication! Good luck with your holidays. This autumn is pretty warm so I hope there will be enough snow in December for you. Livigno is pretty high so I guess there are good chances for you to truly enjoy it and have fun on the slopes. Best of luck and drop me a line afterwards if you feel so.

I feel like Bormio is depicted much worse than it actually is but if the slopes were closed for the World Cup a bit of disappointment is understandable..

It may well be that I simply got unlucky being there at the wrong time. Bormio may be fun outside the World Cup - I simply did not see it. Yet to our taste a calmer and quieter Livigno is a gem. I valued surprisingly (!) better treated slopes and calmness of Livigno more that the buzz of Bormio, but I may easily understand people who prefer noisy and partying town. Tastes differ. :)

@@ProRookieprobably wrong timing,I went this year February 3-10 and it was little bit busy on the weekend and the rest of the days were perfect and quiet. Sometimes you might feel like it's only you on the slopes. I booked the hotel again on the same dates and hopefully have same amazing experience.

@@deivisbledis2622 may well be the wrong timing. Happy to know you enjoyed Bormio more than I did. Have fun there!
