Beautiful turns performed by truly gifted skiers. that being said - 1. perfectly groomed slopes, 2. ideal terrain and steepness, 3. controlled slopes w no "pedestrian skiers", 4. mildly static postures , 5. infrequent turn radius changes. I have skied 50+ years as a patroller, ski instructor, collegiate racer and guide and appreciate the skill needed to do this sport and this comment is not meant to sound like sour grapes. When I say "beautiful turns performed..." this is what it looks like. When these people get on broken slopes with moving obstacles [other skiers] and cannot ski flat out I believe their skills would be on better display and, I am sure, they would truly distinguish themselves and stand out. Great video of fine skiing by skilled skiers. MORE, PLEASE, and thank you for the download.

Fantastic! Knuckle-dragging two-plankers. I'm glad to be one. Better than a crappy powder day and WAY more often!

3 key things for great carving: 1. Good snow 2. Good snow 3. Empty slopes Important things for great carving: 1. Good snow 2. Good snow 3. Wide runs to enjoy the arc Let's be honest. When the snow is top quality, you can carv with one leg up from top to bottom. Carving has been the best invention EVER!!!

These guys have a good eye and great technique. Clearly a hill for people to work on their form and for racers to maximize their vertical training. Great grooming for a clearly edgy climate.

I really wish Neveitalia would provide English translation or subtitles. They have the best skiers, the best equipment, the best videos, on the best mountains. They have the best reviews in the industry..... but it's all in Italian. Nice compilation, Wyzman.

Ski Carving is SO EASY, and is soooo beautiful.. To learn, practice, initiate the start of the carved turn well befor you are in the fall line. When traversing stand up, then pole plant the pole on the inside of your new turn, slowly sink down into the turn while transfering your weight to your new outside ski and lifting your NEW inside ski then placing all your weight on the carving ski , in fact you may pick up the new inside ski from the snow, letting it ride next to your carving ski. THAT is the carved turn and you will be then traversing again into your next turn, so just repeat the other way. Carving is a ONE LEGGED TECHNIQUE, you ski on one leg at a time (the carving leg) and let the other ski ride along side. In time you will be tucking your outside knee behinde your inside knee for a beautiful style apperance. As you practice this tecnique you can then start to link these turns so they look smooth from one to the next. The length of the turn is up to you, long and sweeping or very short into a vadel. Beautiful. No more snow plows.

I prefer how women skis, she pressures the front of her skis, while the man keeps his feet too much together, and he turns the skies insteed to push them up front to turn, which i dont consider the true carving turns. Anyhow, one of the best clips on youtube
