It's sad Devon's parents didn't take care of him. It was his grandmother who took him in and saved his life after CPS removed him from his mother because of abuse. It's great that he had his grandmother.

It took him practice every day for many hours to get good as he did. However just because he is good, it doesn't mean other people shouldn’t become artists because they can't do what he does. They can have their own style and career. If you want to put limitations in yourself, that's your beliefs but then it's wrong to tell others they can't be artists because they can't be like Devon. Not that you are telling others that but I know people with that thinking often do. People can still create artworks they are proud of.

nah come on, I believe that the drawings in your videos are entirely made by you, but what I seriously do not like about your videos: sometimes there are BIG jumps in the drawing process. like from 3:26 to 3:32. The hair, the glasses, the beard - that step took easily as long as everything before 3:26. If you say to the dude "hey man i got to focus, lets be quiet for 10 minutes" and you just draw, I think hat should be also shown. Just my 2 cents.

Doing THIS kind of art is good ... BUT...he should study with some one to bring out his talent further ..... Just doing random realistic drawings of people is nice ..But to be Great he needs the proper work from teachers ... Just my opinion 😊

He does portraits in oil. You’re just seeing a portion of his passion. He’s had very successful shows in NYC. He is hugely talented. And he has taken lessons. His earlier art was funny and he knew it so he honed his work by doing these random portraits in pencil but he does so much more.
