    Now see, this is what I LOVE... I love to hear stories along with the drawings. Taking time and not just flipping thru at 120 km/h... 🤯

    Thanks so much Koosje. This is such a wonderful journey through your sketchbooks. Amazing. I'm really , really new to sketching at the ripe old age of 58. It's utterly addictive.

    This is what life should be happy and remarkable it is making a lot of joy to see and hear you making artwork so soulbased and not so reduculus struggleing with how to do or not even get near the result you want . I think I have to go more easy on my journey --- thank you 😉

    Because of you, and also Sketchbook Skool, I got a sketchbook and have been drawing again, binge watching DTT. I have always drawn in a scratchy-shading style with pencil. Your line-drawings are inspiring, so I am going to try out pen and ink, and water-color. I am intrigued by the one-line technique, and not very good at it. I have to sketch in pencil first. and erase a lot.

    Loved this video, Koosje, and it is definitely inspiring me. I pull out my old sketchbooks whenever I feel like I'm in a rut. I find it helpful because I always have a greater appreciation for both the effort I made and the finished product. I am sorry about your family's recent loss. Art making was a great comfort to me when my family went through our own loss several years ago.

    Always inspirational Koosje!! I had just come back from a walk with an arty friend in one of our small nature reserves here where I live. We were supposed to draw but landed up admiring all the plants, taking loads of photos and catching up with each other. But this has inspired me to not just file those photos, rather to do a whole lot of quick, no pressure, sketches of all the lovely plants I saw, and perhaps one will ask for me to spend more time with it! Thanks again! Love your sketchbooks and your dedication to them!

    Thank you so much for this inspirational video. I love it and I love all your sketches and the stories about them. I’ll be carrying my sketch book from now on. A lot of times I end up taking photos on my phone and drawing at home. What tip can you give us for drawing around people and not feeling embarrassed or intimidated by them?

  • @KoosjeKoene

    @KoosjeKoene

    3 жыл бұрын

    A very quick tip is: If you're drawing on location and you worry about what people might think: most people won't even notice because they're paying attention to themselves and not to someone who seems to just be writing in a journal or so. If it's about drawing while you have people around you that you know (family, friends); they know you like drawing, don't they? So they will only appreciate seeing you do the thing that you love. I hop this helps!
