Im surprised you dont make more songs like this Your voice is perfect for the Norse/Medieval style

No matter how often I listen to this, it's still awesome. And no matter how often I click on it, every time I see that little black dot in the top left corner of the thumbnail, which is probably a bird, I think there is something stuck on the screen.

I don't know how to describe it perfectly, but there's something really interesting that you did with the background vocals in this one. Usually with a song like this, you'd expect the background vocals to stay kind of the same throughout the verse, but they often change up at the end of their line and create a more uplifting sound than they usually would. Like I said....it's hard to explain. I hope everyone knows what I mean, I don't know enough music terms to describe that stuff. It does sound really good, though, and that's what's important.

Yeah the background vocals delve in and out of following the lead and doing upper/lower harmonies :) I felt like it added a little extra melodic flavour as the main vocal stays on the same three notes a lot

But you're completely right, it adds some more melody to it instead of keeping it on the same note for too long, which is a great way to keep it more interesting to listen to. I can perfectly picture a huge feast in the great hall of Kaer Trolde with Skellige warriors all chanting this song. Some are locking arms with each other singing and dancing. Others are brawling. Mead spilled and food flying everywhere. Tables knocked over. Spattered blood and broken teeth across the floor. Axes and tankards held high. Far better than any Continental banquet 🍻

The bouzouki might be awesome, but the drum/bassline is what made this great for me. Smashing :)

You, sir, are a fantastic composer. Having listened to your other songs, I swear you get better every time. Already a big Witcher fan but songs like these make me realise what a masterpiece it is - and how it inspires others to make masterpieces like this. Thanks for this!

Skellige is an awesome area to explore and the music is very atmospheric. ...and then I ran into a cave full of farting trolls and had a laughing fit...

My favourite artist singing a song about my favourite place in a video game? Yes, please. I'm new to The Witcher but fell instantly in love with it. Skellige is the main reason why my game is still nowhere near complete (apart from my obsessive need to do every single side quest and Witcher hunt) I've only left twice since getting there and that was for Qwent and running out of quests.

This is so AWESOME!!!

Man oh man this has been an awesome month of content. Jet Fuel Heart and Hell to Pay instantly clicked and became new favourites, Here we Go Again and Forever Flame have really grown on me, and this... this is just immediately brilliant. It's got the same perfect rhythm that Nord Mead has, but more serious, and shows just how far you've come since you made that song. All the layers work brilliantly on one another, and just... just... it's a damn awesome song Gav, that's all I have to say :D

From all the areas you can visit in the Witcher 3, Skellige is by far my most favorite one;)

So, I hope this isn't a rude question or anything. I'm genuinely curious. I don't normally hear your native accent during your songs, but here it's quite prevalent, even focused on. It makes me wonder. When you sing normally, do you make any attempt to hide/mask your native accent, or is it just the nature of singing that makes it harder to hear, and thus, you have to emphasize it for songs like this? I suppose I only ask because I've noticed with many other people that their regional accents seem to 'disappear' when singing, and it makes me wonder if it's just a byproduct of proper singing techniques (and the act of singing words just makes it harder to 'hear' them) or not.

Viking, aye, but with heavy Celtic influence too, as well as heavy Irish accents, a lot of Irish-sounding words. Have you seen the druids, and their decor? It's a synthesis of both types of culture. I said what I said because the Skelligan accent is Irish.

How so? Their believes and legends, as well as general look are abviously influenced by scandinavian culture. Berserks , their so called ''economy'', wild hunt and ragnarok. I don't see a scottish connection.

The Continent is pretty much based on UK , the empire is south ( Nilfgaard / England ) and the Northern Kingdoms ( Scotland / Ireland )

@@guy3nder529 Skyrim had a bug where giants would fling you into the sky which had to be re-added to the game. I would only count this and maybe the map.

The Witcher 3 is definitely a game that worth building/buying/upgrading a machine for. In my opinion, it's what I would call a game that defines the current generation of hardware.

Yep, both the hubby and I ALWAYS upgraded our PCs for the Witcher games and it has always been worth it not to buy anything else in a while. :-D

CHIN CHIN My notebook (Yeah, A NOTEBOOK) was released in.. i don't know, when "Intel Second Generation thingy" was released. It's terrible, and here in Brazil prices are getting pretty freaking high.
