Actually, his UrSkek name would be LiLii. I can't say for sure, but I believe it might be pronounced as "Lee-Lee'ee" rather than "Lee-Lee." Just my two cents.

Ugh, skekLi is one of the skeksis I hate the most! He controls Tavra, nearly kills Naia, Kylan and all the Grottans, and gives those in the performing arts a bad name! I guess that might also be part of the reason I love Song of the Dark Crystal so much, though. You can't have a good book without having a compelling villain and he is that, if nothing else. The fact that I can identify with his status as an outcast makes his later actions in the book all the more horrific. Well, great video! Can't wait for the Spriton Clan installment! Second favorite clan, nearly tied for first with the Sifan, who win because of their willingness to accept all races into their clan.

That’s because he wasn’t mentioned much or at all until within the last few years.

I think his story role will be that he was called back to the castle and chamberlain finding him a potential threat has him mad a fool of himself. Anger and wanting "respect" again, he seeks off for key gelfing figures only to eventually became sadistic.

Jordan Tucker that’s a good theory! SkekSil viewed SkekVar as a threat because he took the Chamberlain’s rank. This is what led to the General’s demise. Who is to say the Chamberlain won’t plot behind the other skeksis’ backs in Season 2?

ya know something, looking at SkekLi and hearing enough about that makes me think of something else, it makes me think that if all the Skeksis should ever perish, than SkekLi and SkekGra the Heretic maybe the only Skeksis alive.

I have a piece of each Clan in me The Spriton Clan part is that I love animals and music the Vapra part of me loves history knowledge and truth the Stone in the Wood Clan part of me is brave and I always stand up for those people who cannot the Sifa Clan part of me loves adventure and travel the Grottan part of me loves the treasures I have the Dousan Clan part of me is the respect for life and its cycles and the part of me that is the Drenchen Clan is my smart ass attitude and blunt ways of putting things

I wonder if skekLi and skekGra are still alive in the dark crystal movie

Another great video, one day can you release a video about ever artificial and organic creatures that serve/served the skeksis?

It's unfortunate that skekLi didn't get to play his part in AoR, but I can understand why they cut his role. Each skeksis has lore and a story behind them, but including every single skeksis and their story complicates things. The TV/movie formate just isn't the best medium to express all of that. I have no doubt the lore of the TV series will be much simpler and vague due to the medium's shortcomings.

There's a lot of Skeksi's that are away from the castle, like the Garthim master, skekUng, the skeksis' said “we should summon the other Skesis back to the castle”, so we might be seeing SkekLi in season 2.

Well it could be possible that Skek'Li , Skek'Sa and Skek'Un are gonna appear in season 2, since season 1 ended with the Emperor and his fellow skeksis being rather desperate and a single garthim is not gonna be enough so who knows what the 3 arriveing skeksis appear could do. Not to mention Skek'Li could give Skek'Sil a run for his money, tho i haven't noticed the Treasurer and Slavemaster yet. So it is 5 skeksis who haven't appeared yet in the series

It'd be cool if skekLi appeared in Season 2 of the Dark Crystal AoR as the court jester, with a giggling and sometimes dark nature. Though sadly, thanks to Netflix, we'll never see him or any other new Skeksis characters (like skekSa) appear in the show. lol

So he was responsible for that scary spider scene when Tavara wore that Darth Sidious cloak?

I feel like SkekLi might rival Chamberlain in during a flashback and later showing him making a shadowy figure in a abandoned woodland. SkekLi should a flexible and slippery Skeksis able to escaping capture, he be bit stronger and a theatrical thief. One of the his loyal lackey is a outcast Gelfling (similar to a Gollum like appearance) to assist him during early event of leaving Grot by freed him of his statue like prison. But, he seeks vengeance for his minion demised of a impalement of a metal spoon. (SkekSil framing Hup as the culprit.) UrLii should be who pretending to slow and quiet at times, only by revealing to be a active Mystic and only to Brea seeking his help. UrLii might be encouraged by SkekGra and UrGoh of trying to change his counterpart fate. But, SkekSil tricks SkekLi to betrayed UrLii. UrLii might sacrifice himself to keeping his counterpart from revealing the hidden locations of remaining Gelflings to the Emperor. Hup pleading UrLii not to die and he smiled at Hup knowing he'll see his friend again after his death. (UrVa). SkekLi should be voiced by Steve Jay Blum and UrLii should be voiced by Troy Baker. Also, UrLii knowledge Rian reminding him of a Gelfling he met long ago (Ordon).

Leave a LIKE if you want SkekLi and his UrRu counterpart UrLii to make an appearance in Age of Resistance Season 2. Since SkekOk mentioned SkekLi before the Second Battle at Stone-In-The-Wood, it makes sense for it to foreshadow the other Skeksis to eventually find him and make SkekLi play a significant role in Season 2.

Definetly 3 and dang I feel bad for skekli, although he sounds cruel he was distant and kept him self away from the others and was usually seen lowly and now he's left in the cave all alone with nobody to see but just himself and just be stuck in fear forever

I see the Hunter video and whach the season episode 4 and when you see the end of it when he was going to kill Rian his mask was fixed and when he escape his mask is gone and look closely and you will see to and I just noticed it to day

Ty Sargent I can picture Jim Carrey to be a great choice to voice SkekLi. He’s known for funny/cartoony performances in fictional films and is very skilled at expressing himself when voicing multiple characters in a movie.

0:40 to 1:21 As the “List of every Skeksis” video says, most considered SkekLi to be useless, while he was actually very intelligent and cunning. 1:00 Also, much like the others, SkekLi and his counterpart UrLii the Storyteller were similar in their individuality and independence, while obviously opposites in the way they treated others.

I always wondered why the Skeksis needed a treasurer? I suppose before the events of the movie and the genocide, the Skeksis were involved in commerce with the gelflings. Afterwards, what would they need the money for? Getting stuff delivered by Podling Postmates? Knowing how stingy SkekShod was, I'm sure he'd never tip them.

Do you think it's possible the gelfling of Thra are distantly related to the aliens in Avatar? I don't know why, but my last rewatch of Age of Resistance reminded me a lot of Avatar some reason.

It sounds like from how you worded it when he was frozen in place that wasn't like a temporary deal...

Great biography, the only thing you got wrong was skekli actually appeared in songs of the dark crystal not shadows.

I got a question : ) ! What if the skeksis never used the crystal to increase there lifespan ! How long could they have lived ? Same as the Gelfling? Skekmal never used the crystal and in age of resistance it seems he was the most healthy

From what i remember, the Skeksis all have very long life spans anyway, because the urSkeks are aliens. They don't age like everything else. But when they started to age from living on Thra, they needed the crystal to ensure their survival. skekGra is a bit of a mystery still, but skekMal i assume absorbed Thra's energy slowly overtime, and through the things he killed. Along with constantly exercising, it probably made him much stronger.

So Tavra was his vessel?

What bugs me is that he's called the Satirist and there is not one iota of satirising in his story at all like, I was hoping for him being an actual satirist, because that would be *very* interesting given that satirists are kind of Trickster archetypes, not well-liked because of their mocking of Authority and Establishments.

Did skekli die still frozen? Did he not starve to death or could they not if the urru were still being fed, or not? Did he die alone, did no one free him?
