    Another helpful tip for me was approaching things like bumps, small curbs and rail tracks diagonally instead of head on. That way it's much harder for both of your wheels to get blocked at the same time.

    thats a good tip! It may only work in specific scenarios though, because narrower areas could prove difficult. nonetheless, for wider paths, this is definitely true!

    You forgot a big one. When possible, attach cracks and crevices diagonally instead of straight on. Makes the riding much smoother

    Another thing I found out for getting over these giant cracks or bumpers: When you push, think about it as actually walking. Just place your push foot down near the bumper and lean your body weight on your push foot (80-100%) to reduce the downward pressure on your skateboard. It lets you just push your board over the bumper und lets you ride over it as if it wasn't there.

    Brother your board looks fairly similar to my mindless cruiser. I want those wheels so bad as the roads here are so bad and I’m constantly going over rough terrain. But I’m worried about them rubbing off the board as they’re 12mm wider in diameter than the ones that came with the board. I have the lil cutout on the board like yours but I doubt there’s and extra 12mm space on a full lean

    Do I want to know how to skate my skateboard in the city? The question is a bit complicated and I want to answer this question. I'm pretty sure that the answer is yes, but I think there are two basic requirements. First of all, I would love to skate my skateboard in a city where there isn't a skateboard or skateboardpark near you and where skating is strictly prohibited on city property. And second, I would love to have a city or state where skateboarding is banned on city property due to public health concerns. One way or another the city of Portland will be enforcing just that and this has been a major issue for the last ten years while the other issues have been minor issues and have nothing to do with skateboarding. So yes, you can call to the office of city council to learn if it is really necessary for your city to be enforcing skateboarding rules.

  • @henriqueserra3233

    @henriqueserra3233

    Жыл бұрын

    Hey, i had the same problem when I started haha. So, what I usually do, is stepping the floor with the back foot, like, you put it next to the nose of the board, and kinda "pull backwards", dont let your shoe slide so you don't fuck them up haha. And another tip, LEARN HOW TO DO FRONT AND BACKSIDE SLIDES, you reduce speed really fast, and if you are going a lot faster, you're just gonna fall if doing the step thing, or at least it´s not gonna be enough to break quickly.... Yeahh, they are scary at the beginning, but practice them on a nice floor before going to concrete and big ramps

They're kinda smoothh to ride but I'm gaining very high speeds and the end of downhill is busy road with cars and lights. How do I slow down? • @Scythera99

    Man I ride rough roads and sidewalks on a size 8.0 with bones 52mm 100a wheels, those big bastards you got should do the job just fine, if you want more smoothe comfort, I'd go for softer if you're riding on 99a wheels. The bigger and softer, the better for cruising on all terrain, I wouldn't even go for offroads unless you really want to hit dirt with that thing.

    Nice vid, but I'd say if u wanna ollie & kick turn, dont use a cruiser board bc cruiser/longboard wheels are heavy af & make learning to ollie 10× harder than if u jus use street wheels, which there are more of them nowadays that can handle crusty spots & negate having to put longboard wheels on a cruiser. Dont cop out & use them bc tick tacking & lifting ur board is vital & u can only get a proper feel for that with street wheels. Using soft big wheels is lazy & not acknowledging proper board control bc if ur gonna kick turn, lift the tail to go off kerbs & ollie, u need good board control which u can literally only get by learning with small & hard street wheels. Dont even attempt the big ass cracks if u got street wheels cos u gonna eat shit like u wont believe if u do - thats only possible with cruiser/longboard type wheels😅
