Skating the Encinitas Sign in 2023!? Featuring Bam Margera and Colby Raha - Spot History Ep. 10
This week we check out the Encinitas Civic Center/City Hall Sign. Endless love for Bam. I met him on a Hawk tour years ago, and he was the nicest guy to me gave me a big hug and signed my (his model) shoes. Still have them
honestly maybe THE best Bam interview I've ever heard/watched. Plus its excellent to see Bam in good shape. Keep up the great work
Idk about you guys but back in the day in Australia we all use to call a tail drop off something a "bam drop" because bam was always doing them off wild stuff lol
This format is a winner. Trick after trick vids can get so routine, whereas challenging odd spots, like this one, will never get old. 👍
Liked that you showed the games it played with your mind going into it. You showed your angst and your fear bro that was huge. Brave is not having no fear. Brave is being terrified and still going thru it. First time seeing your channel. You guys are killing it. Happy new subscriber here bro.

That's sick. The problem with Bam is a lot of people in the skater community thought he kinda sold out for material wealth. Like Ryan Sheckler's 'Life of Ryan', 'Viva la Bam' and 'Bam's unholy Union' were absolutely loved by the masses, mostly people who didn't skate. I remember my first real complete skateboard, it was a devil man World Industries logo deck, Indy trucks, Black Magic grip, Bones Swiss bearings and Landslide 54 mm Bam Margera Wheels. This was 1997 when I really started skating. It was actually the last bastion of core, underground, and counter culture skateboarding. The X games were the beginning of the corporatization of skateboarding but Tony Hawk's pro skater, that was the 2nd nail in the ⚰️ 🔨 coffin. Of course I still love Bam and the CKY crew, Bam's a legend. But underground Bam was the absolute best. His part in Toy Machine 'Jump off a Building' circa 1998 and his part in Transworld feedback 1999 where he shared his part with Kerry Getz and Mike Maldonado. Plus his earlier parts like his 411 Wheels of fortune and his part/footage from one/some of the Eastern Exposure videos. I still have Eastern Exposure 3 on VHS tape, found it on ebay 20+ years ago. think MTV kinda corrupted his intuition and where his Downfall started and then Ryan Dunn's death. I think something snapped in him after that. Most of the CKY/Jackass guys were all drug addicts/alcoholics and shit just really bad for like a decade. Like Jason Lee, I think Bam would've put out way more awesome parts. He was in a lifestyle where skateboarding 🛹 would slowly become less important to him. Once the MTV days ended and the after party debauchery ended, he was lost and started skating again and he still to this day still has it. The alcohol took a toll on his body and he's like 40+ years old now. With all that said "Long live Wallman."I should say as well, the Bam produced videos were absolutely sick, Landslide presents CKY and CKY2K.

@@DomePieceReckaactually bam has been a joke in the industry since like 2008. Bam was a decent skateboarder for a while but the only people who think hes some sort of legendary pro are fan boys bam was average at best even in his prime. His celebrity status from mtv has kept his board sales otherwise he was washed 15 years ago
@skateboston420
8 ай бұрын
@DomePieceRecka I'm just being honest. There was a decade where he didn't really skate. As an addict, I definitely understand and empathize with Bam. And I've always been a fan, I just think Viva La Bam and all that MTV fanfare was really negative for him. He did untold damage to his body from alcohol. I just miss the pre-Jackass Bam when his skating was pure, core skating. I'm not hating at all. I do think his downfall had a lot to do with Ryan Dunn dying. I always love seeing new Bam footage, especially now that he's in his mid 40s. I'm 38 and skating starts getting really hard around late 20s, early 30s. Nothing but love for 'Wallman'.
Holy fuck he did it! That was fucking sick Dalton!
So gnarly. I did not expect an NBD at the end of the video

Dalton Dern was first skater to jump the massive gap into the deep end at the Hastings bowl in Vancouver. He should be world famous for this feat alone. He did it in a contest, and if you have ever stood on the flat , you know how insane of a stunt that is.

Dudes, just new to the channel. Bam caught my eye. It's good to see him looking so much better. I keep hoping he's gonna get his moment of clarity and hoping this is it. I'm on my old ladies account that's why it says Sheila. I remember skating with Bam at the skate ranch in Richmond BC Canada in the early 90's and he was wall man back then too. Kevin had this ramp section that had about 10 ft or more of vert and bam was getting the highest out of any pro's at the time. Sluggo got me a pass so I was able to film some super crazy shit in the practice. Hey I'm loving the content dude. That was an in depth look at the process of fighting every sane thought in your mind and the thing that takes over and makes you need to conquer it. Just watching it brought on those feelings. You got a new subscriber.
