Are you a goofy? Normally for new learners, goofy skaters will find heelflips easier to do as it is more natural to them while regulars will find kickflips easier.

HongCe Soo I’m regular and heelflip is way more comfortable for me. I learned heelflip first , kickflip seems like a weird trick for me that’s odd

I had trouble with heelflips and found out that leaning back helped me land them first go.its the best feeling in the world landing on your griptape for heelflip

Dude heelfips are just an Ollie easiest flip trick in skateboarding once you learn it properly I was always trying to kick out and my heelfips sucked but my bud showed me a new foot position where all you do is Ollie and the board flips it's self in to your feet

I edit with Adobe Premiere but the slow motion is smooth because it was shot with a high speed camera at 1,000 frames per second.

I have waited for this video since the day I saw the kickflip one, it's so beautiful :')

I usually catch my heelflips when his board is just upside down and it feels HUGE! But this guy's ones..damn! no words

nice heel flip man.

for all the questions where your tryin to keep your back foot on or other little specific things...make sure you square and standing up straight of the board and pop straight down. making sure I kept my head back more was helpful for me. but otherwise just keep doing heelflips. this shit takes time and patience and perseverance!

damn right it is! seen a lot of pros struggle doing heelpflip with their original stance.

Leg strenght that you develop during skateboarding practice. Here is my story. I started work at this company about 3 months ago. They had a basketball rim set to official height, etc. At first I couldn't reach, but since I had picked skating for past 3months I quickly noticed an increase in height as I jumped up to the point I could touch the rim now. Practice!

nuthug4927 i tore my acl and my meniscus completely. and after it healed up, i started working full time. if i break my arm skating, my boss isn’t going to pay me to lay out, and skateboarding doesn’t pay the bills :( i’d like to get back to it eventually

trying to learn this at the moment. when i get this down it will be my first flip trick :D

When you flick it with your front foot, try to imagine ninja air-kicking someone in your path of...skating. If you flick it in the somewhat right spot with enough strength, it's gonna fly up, so you just gotta tuck and catch, burr

For som reason this feels so much more "natural" than kickflips to me...

most people find out, that heelflip much harder than kickflip. even i was thinking like that too before i land heelflip. but after i found out how to do the right heelflip, i found heelflip more easier than kickflip. because its basically an ollie with kicking to the front with ur heel

hey how do u keep up you back foot up because when i jump i flick it but my back foot is always in the ground how can i improve?

so guys what we have to know? he flick deck so hard that it spins actually for double heelflip but he catch it after it rotate once. that' means we have to pop strong just like for ollie and flick it hard but correctly. and most important thing it's catch the board right in time. p.s. if i'm concentrated on catch - i land it most of time, and that works not only for heelflip.
