You need to use new shoes that are not already worn down by sand paper grip tape cause it works with the rubber and texture of your shoes

This grip is amazing. I bought some from DKL Skateboarding and although it's kind of hard to apply, it's awesome if you want to save your shoes. The only thing you'll have to do routinely is taking a wet rag and wiping the dust off the grip. I skate in any shoes I want now and no holes!!

Get skater trainers and only put it on one wheel so the board still moves around but just not as much. Worked for me on ollies, kickflips and 180s so far👍✌

Hey sam, next time when you are taking off grip tape from a skateboard, try heating the grip tape up before ripping it off. This way it melts the stickiness under the grip tape, which makes it easier to take off. Loved the vid!😀👌🔥

1. It works better with newer shoes 2. Wipe it down with damp rag to maintain grip - less dust 3. Use a file to shave off edges

i've beenusing it for around 6 months now, and it's really good. the only thing is that it does peel up sometimes and the grip eventually rubs off. but by that time you'll get a new deck. I don't plan on going back to sandpaper anytime soon

This grip is perfect! I use it and it doesn't peel or too your shoes. You just need to apply it right then you're good to go.

I have this grip tape but I got it when I got new shoes. I’m pretty sure they work better with newer shoes since it’s supposed to keep your shoes new

Yeah I’ve been using this grip tape too and I ended up just using a little glue on my tail and it’s been fine and I haven’t had any peeling

My man just took his grip of in 10 seconds I regripped my board (which came as a complete) and it took me at least an hour

This gripatape litterally looks like mine XD The way its all bad on the sides

I'm still on the beginning stages of skateboarding and rubber griptape is all I use. I doesn't make sense to go through shoes for just practicing ollies and basic stuff. Once I get at a decent level I'll switch to sand. Now this Braille grip has a different texture than DKL so it would be interesting to try.

After skating this grip for a year, and saving tons of shoes... I'm going to back to standard grip. As I started to progress and get better again, I noticed I was never confident landing or having the grip I've had in the past from 20 years of skateboarding. I really hope it continues to get better and better, but if it gets dusty or wet, it flat out gets dangerous.

I've used this and it's really cool and saves your shoes but I keep my board in a hot car in the summer and it peels up and bubbles around the sides and bolts.

I used this stuff for almost a year and it's great. The only downsides are after maybe 4 months it loses grip and it makes tricks much harder ( I rode it everyday though for around 3 hours) and if you don't stay on top of it it'll start to peel and come off. I made the mistake in the last few months to cut a design into it and the peeled like crazy. But if you skate it for a couple of months and get a new board and replace it it's great and it really does save your shoes.

I’d be interested to see if there’s a major disadvantage if there is some moisture on your feet. While a normal sandpaper grip would soak up any droplets of water it seems like the rubber grip could hold the moisture on top and be super slippery

What you should do is compare the regular and rubber grip tape and do 10 kick flips and compare how much the shoe gets used

I used the grip for about 4 months and it was good at first but the grip goes away in about 2 months and it becomes hard to even do 180s without my feet slipping off. Also it comes up on the sides.

I think that the best thing is that you don’t mess up your shoes

If you use rubbing alcohol to clean it (wiping it down.) It can help make it grip better again.

This would save so many shoes🙌

I wonder how it would hold up in a dusty skate park. Pre-pandemic the park I was skating vert at consistently is very dusty since it's indoors
