'Freedom Sounds' is the glorious introduction to the iconic Ska LP "Ska Authentic from Studio One", and also known as the opening theme for the band's live performances. What's more exciting is the early take unearthed for the very first time! Although it nearly got released with the 64-65' masterpiece 'From Russia With Love', it eventually got cancelled due to the release of the "Ska Authentic" LP. Compared to the ordinary recording that we're familiar with, the unreleased take comes rougher but that's also brilliant and it will sound miraculously to all the Ska fans. There have been occasions that the band played this version at number of gigs, though it depends on who was leading the performance.

With the full respect to the memory of Sir Coxsone, this is the Ultimate Collector's Single Series for all Studio One Fans, recorded especially from the original master tapes owned by the 13 Brentford Road, and including some previously unreleased rare material.
Studio One is at the top of the old record labels in Jamaica, which has history since the 1950's. It was established by Sir Clement 'Coxsone' Dodd, who is reffered as the father of Reggae by people.
It is the most important and a legendary studio in Jamaica since artists and musicians like Bob Marley, Lee Perry, and Burning Spear have learned about music there and thereafter they walked their own ways.
Many Reggae artists and musicians say that Studio One is the Reggae university that is managed by Principal Sir Clement 'Coxsone' Dodd. It is also said that Studio One is the Motown of Reggae all over the world.
