Skardu & Shigar, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan [Amazing Places 4K]
Skardu and Shigar are towns in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, famous with old forts and the natural beauty of the area.
Skardu Fort (or Kharphocho) dates from the 8th century, rebuilt in 16th century. The fort offers stunning views over Indus River and Skardu. The Shigar Fort, built in the 17th century shows the Tibetan influence in the architecture (Gilgit-Baltistan has many similarities with Tibet).

Don't know about word but Northern Pakistan is as peaceful as Europe. Rest of Pakistan is quite normal, believe it or not Gun violence in Pakistan is much less than US. Yes their are security issues but they're in areas adjacent to Afghanistan borders.

・Wonderful mount in Pakistan and nice BGM.
Interesting place, the old forts were unusual but the sheer size of the landscape and the starkness of the mountains and river are very impressive. Great video as usual.

Thanks to your great video (and its charming soundtrack), I booked a tour in Pakistan: I will leave in November 16 to find those lovable places, surrounded by a magic atmosphere!

November will be cold for the mountains, but good for the historical places at lower altitudes. During my visit the temperature in Lahore hit 44C, but in November should be good :)

yes, agree, unfortunately part of the time the weather was quite bad, low visibility because of sand in the air I think, so was not able to use footage from more stunning places in the area

One of the best travel videos that I have seen
skardu's cold desert is one of the most beautiful places on earth, hands down. i stayed at a military camp there and had a great experience. hope you did too! you should visit ansoo jheel, aka teardrop lake, near naran. It's a bit of a trek but definitely worth it. Also, babusar valley is amazing

this trip is already over, so hopefully in the future! we crossed Babusar pass, got some great footage from there but not enough for a video. Spent a night in Naran, but there was no time for the lake :( There will be a video from Skardu though

for sure Gilgit Baltistan looked very safe during my visit, and my guide assured me in the same, and the tourists are welcome.

Most of the areas always remained and still are safe in Pakistan, some areas had trouble which is now under control areas bordering Afghanistan. Most of the areas are more safer than most of other countries with v hospitable people. Dont trust media just listen to people who have been there as a tourist.
My Pakistan❤🇵🇰 is insane with beauty world class hospitality.. Baluchistan has its mind blowing beauty.. Punjab has culture food history.. kak is to next level mountains river organic food water falls, Sindh is saint cultural as well.. Kashmir ,Fata, Gilgit Baltistan is much insane.. Rivers , Beaches, sea, water falls, mountains, Cold desert, desert, civilizations, religious history, food , culture, music, art everything is in my Pakistan ❤🇵🇰
