wire the sub to 1 ohm and it will last forever. just dont mount amp to box. ive gone through 2 of them becuase of that. now my 3rd one is mounted to the floor

ok guys heres the real test i just purchased the vxf 12 d2ohm and their box a rp 2000 watt amp and 2 shallow mount 8s and a 900.5 for the fronts. going in a 16 inch lifted 99 dodge ram center seat replacement keeping the armrest. truck is on 38's, this is going to be interesting

I have a pretty new car so I'm worried about getting one of these. My bolts and nuts are all still pretty tight... I see all your panels flexing and think oh my God what would that do to the car in 10k miles. Currently have a JL TW3 12 in a shallow mount enclosure(3rd row sear woes) on 500w rms and it is almost enough to piss off all my neighbors as is. Maybe the zvx 10 or a couple of tens would do less of that kind of beastly destruction to your car? Maybe not...

to be honest if youre looking for more power and more DB. youd probably want to go with a zvx 8 in a ported enclosure and slap a skar 800 watt mono on it and it will boom nicely and typically on newer cars you dont have to worry about bolts coming lose from factory. ive been playing this woofer for 2 weeks now and everythings still tight. id say just check them once a month. and if theyre still tight for the next couple months then youll probably be fine.

Shit hits hard but your speaker is wobbling when the sub is in excursion. It should only go up and down. You dont want your spider goin side to side. That means your clipping hard. Roll your gain down and watch your subwoofer. Should go up and down.

It's not actually wobbling. What you're seeing a phenomenon relating to how a CMOS sensor writes data to the camera. Look up The SlowMo Guys video on CRT tv's, a CMOS works the same way.

Check your voltage, mine did the same thing. Every time I tried to turn my system up even a little bit my voltage would drop down to 13.0v - 12.6v. Once I upgraded my 80amp alternator to a 170amp Mechman and got a new agm battery everything was perfect at 14.4v - 14.0v. Also a more simple solution if your sub makes a popping noise is to lower your lowpass filter on your amp.

You have a to low of an impedance on ur amp so either u have ur amp bridged it’s probably the problem voltage drop would just make audio fade of and everything would flicker and ur gain can’t be to high which would cause clipping so rewire your subs and amp to a night ohm and it should be fine

Why do people always mount their amps to the sub boxes. Makes it easier for shit to get stolen and skar specifically tells you NOT to mount it to the box.....................Clean up them wires and you've got a decent setup.

Wow what a disgusting setup. You literally have wires everywhere. I have dual evl 12s and its clean af amp mounted behind back seat and you can't see a single wire. Man fix that setup!!! Also amps aren't suppose to be on sub itll break them.

Bout to buy 2 of these loll
