SKALD: Against the Black Priory is a retro-style party-based RPG set in a grim-dark fantasy world.
This is a follow up to my previous first impressions video. The understanding and opinion I have of the combat system has improved. I wanted to correct a comment I made as I talk about how much fun this games combat actually is... when you understand it.

This game is SO good in so many ways. Only gets better the further in you get. Hope you enjoy the hell out of it dude!
I've been playing the game for just a few days but I'm hooked already. I'd recommend everyone who's considering it to buy it.

This mentality is what's gotten me through many "bad" games.
Skald is such a great game, seriously, I'm enjoying it more than BG3. The writing is really good, the atmosphere gives me the creeps. Yesterday I reached a village where people were apparently in peace and without problems and DUDE that creeped me out so much! Because the game just throws you into this grimdark adventure of danger and loss and suddenly, yeah game, you honestly want me to believe that shit's not gonna hit the fan MAJORLY very soon? Hahahaha! Seriously, there's not a SINGLE moment with this atmospheric depth in BG3. This game is just *chef's kiss* good, you can feel the love that's been poured in it by the developer. More games like this, please!

@@JaredRBair Came back here because I finished the game yesterday. I honestly went to bed disturbed with the ending, I almost felt a little sick to the stomach. It was a grandiose, bleak tragedy of a price to pay for saving the world, sinister stuff!
