Skagen And The Wandering Dune - Northern Denmark & Råbjerg Mile | Next Stop Everywhere

After a lovely week with our fantastic friends in Billund, we're back on the road... but not before a tour of the farm and homestead we've lived and loved for just over a week - there's new faces since our last visit, and some old names too... yep, Kev the bull is still here!
Heading north, we set up camp at one of our favourite spots in all of Denmark, the beautiful beaches just outside the famed Danish town of Skagen - the sun is shining, the temperatures are low and we're loving life... it's so good to be back, and so refreshing to be up in our fab roof tent, experiencing Denmark like never before.
Finally, as we head south again, we stop at a spectacular sight we completely missed last time... Europe's biggest 'wandering' sand dune, Råbjerg Mile!
What an amazing place - the migrating dune, Råbjerg Mile, is about 1km wide and 1km long, it is made of roughly 3.5 million cubic metres of sand, and is 40 metres high. Each year the dune moves around 15 metres towards the north east, closer to Grenen, the top of Denmark, stopping for nothing and no-one! Honestly, when you're up on top of it, it's like a frozen Sahara... definitely something we never thought we'd see. There's sand dunes and then there's Råbjerg Mile! Just a shame we forgot our bucket and spade...

Your pronounciations of "godmorgen" and "Skagen" was so good I had to rewind and watch it again, just for that. The "mile" part in Råbjerg Mile, is pronounced pretty much like the name of the german appliance company "Miele", you've got the Råbjerg part down pretty well.

A big recommendation if you ever go to Råbjerg Mile is to go in warmer seasons and don't go with your shoes on trust me you will destroy them, I am talking from personal experience.

Hi Guys. We've been in Denmark 3 weeks now and not seen a single Christmas tree yet!

Whaaaat? Really? Denmark grows 10million Christmas trees a year... and bearing in mind there's only 6million people in the country, that's quite a few... we remember seeing them all-over Jutland, albeit away from the main roads though. Hope you guys have been enjoying your trip, and we hope, in some small way, our trip has helped to guide yours ❤️👍

Lovely to still see videos from Denmark, btw It's not the Baltic sea, it's the Kattegat sea.
