HI, SJCAM. I fully agree with this review, and also wanted to add. I'm an owner of this camera. I've got it nearly half a year ago. I hoped to get a good one and i was expected to get some support for a new product. But what i've got? Till recently there was no downloadable manuals or software for this cam. Half a year!! Why?? Video Laps minimum setting = 1 second. Why it can't be less? And maximum 30 minutes!!! Are you serious? Have YOU tried this function? I think - no. Because the camera runs out of battery nearly after 1.5-2 hours (And it's getting hot as hell...making this 1 frame per 30 minute). So it makes only 3-4 shots with setting of 30 minutes. If 1 second of video contains 60...or, ok, 24 frames...it even not a half a second!! That's first. Next. Looks like gyro setting don't work in 4k ultra mode, though you can turn it on. And i've told that to your support some time ago. 3 month passed...no changes. And image quality with gyro is just awful. It can be " ok " only in very good weather. When it becomes just a little bit darker, image in 4K with gyro looks very noisy and jerky, contains so much artifacts. This is just a question of good software. Ok, chips ain't as good as on top cameras. But it's possible to make them work well enough. This just a question of working with software. But how long we need to wait till it all be ok? One year have passed. Camera was released on it's beginning. No progress. Now i'm thinking of selling this camera and change it to something with normal support. 4 year have passed. All work is done = WE ADDED A FRONT SCREEN!! YEY!!! Year have passed = we fixed something...but not EIS, not image quality etc, just something other. No, guys, thanks. Overall: the camera is ok (not even good)...for 2018, but not for 2022-2023. Lots of useless settings, that don't work well. It's cheaper, yes. But it's not a "PRO" camera. It could be expensive...but: with good software, with better chips and optics. So if anyone is going to buy SJCAM, i would recommend smth like SJ8PRO, or older SJ10PRO if you can find it cheaper.

Nice, my first ever action camera was the SJ5000+ which did it's job at just 140 euros. But I do not see myself buying anything other than a DJI Osmo Action 3 now. he price and quality are just there.

actually there was a 3000 and 4000 series, i still have the 4000 series, and it wasnt that bad, till now u can get decent footage out of it, but the same cheap quality hehe nothing beats a Gopro in my opinion, thought of getting an Osmo action, amazing features on these, but never had the chance to use one yet :)

@@maherhasbany9001Yes I know, I got mine when the SJ5000+ was out and I loved it. If I took a new one it would have been the new DJI Osmo action.

I'm done with SJcam. Started with the 4000. My penultimate SJCam was a 4000X - the poor man's SJ9. Moved on earlier this year to an SJ10 dual screen. Out of the box every third or fourth video was corrupted ( no not talking about the weird ones ) and couldn't be opened by my Mac. Today it has gone into 50% lockdown mode ie 50% of the touch screen functions aren't functioning. I give up.

They lost the battle a few years ago when they stopped bringing innovation and only trying to be a mediocre poor-man's gopro knock offs. They could have had momentum but I will never buy anything other than a DJI Osmo from now on, even GoPro with overheating isn't in my field of view given the fact they are overpriced.

Hi! I've been watching a lot of your videos lately to help me make a decision about what to buy. They have been really helpful :) But I'm really struggling to find any reviews at all for the SJ11 Active. What is the big selling point for this? Being able to stream? It can't record 4k@60fps and it has a smaller view angle. Would you get the 10 Pro over the 11 Active? Thank you very much!

Could you tell me if this camera has a function like “Hindsight”, present in the GoPro Hero 9, 10 and 11?

I would recommend staying away from SJCAM products.

sent me back in time lol better pay a bit more for other camera. not what i expected from them for sure i did hoped they would step up since last flop... but seriously what is this ;)

EIS kills image quality! When the camera was on the ground, in the football segment, image quality looked very good. With EIS on, it was mush. If you need to buy a gimbal, might as well just by a better quality action cam!

osmo cost 2.5 times more than sj10 wtf is he talkin ... sj10 cost 210 euros here and osmo 3 cost 500 ....

Osmo 3 is 329 on the US Amazon right now. With a discount it can go much lower than that. OA2 is 240 right now.
