I´m seriously considering that route. Last winter I paid the similar price to get from Stockholm Central to Oslo, Norway. Unfortunately the Express train broke down in the tunnel barely outside the city. We got evacuated to another train and got let out in the countryside of Western Sweden. Those of us going to Norway, but it was a slower older looking train the rest of the way. I want to go to Umea, because I want to ride the ferryboat to Vaasa, Finland.

I loved travelling through the nordics on rails. It wasnt snowing yet when i visited umeå. Good review of the train.

Hi there, Your video was very much helpful for me as you mentioned everything in details.I really want to thank you for that . But I have few Questions.. 1. When you purchased the ticket does it mention your seat number or any specifications . 2 . As I will be travelling from Stockholm to Umeå, is there any baggage allowance or do they charge for luggages if I want to put them on those luggage cabins..

I dont know its maybe a X 2000 or X55 SJ 3000
