Wow, Chiara. What a surprise song from my youth. My father and I would listen to an old radio on the fridge while I was having breakfast before school. "Sixteen Tons" was one of my favorites and you covered it flawlessly. Thanks for lifting the fog and sweeping away many cobwebs from my memory with this song. Very well done.

Hi Bill. I felt very similar! We also had a radio in the kitchen and there played early Rock'n'Roll with all the luminaries from the 50s and 60s... My mother was a big fan of Pat Bone!

WOW! Ein (fast vergessener) Song aus den 40er Jahren, hier von Chiara in absolut beeindruckender Weise zu neuem Leben erweckt! Wieder einmal beweist uns Chiara, dass sie einem alten Song ein neues Leben geben kann aber ohne das Original aus den Augen - pardon, aus den Ohren - zu verlieren. Nice voicing for this song. Try this with a base singer accompaniment and you'll have a utube hit. Forgot to say that the guitar rendition is just perfect for this song, which is why the voicing works so well, too.
