The frustration of the anti-process is that we should have been drafting these types of players to complement Embiid all along. It takes years to gain chemistry and continuity & all that time was wasted trading assets for mediocre role players on a yearly basis.

For example the last 3 years champions and runner ups were build around their top guy ~75% through draft. Just check every starting lineup in the finals last 3 years has 3-4 guys from own draft (only exception MIL). PHX (Book, Bridges, Johnson, Ayton), BOS (Tatum, Brown, Smart, Williams), GSW (Curry, Klay, Dray, Looney), MIA (Bam, Vincent, Robinson/Strus), DEN (Jokic, Murray, Porter) and I’m not even talking about rotation guys. This is not the only receipt to success but quite a tendency. We actually had our five with own core plus JJ but Fultz got thoraric outlet syndrome 😵‍💫, and they absolutely fucked up with Mikal and Jimmy. It was tough to complete a proper roster since

I’m completely sold on Da Silva, he’s the exact type of player that we need and the kind I believe Morey would/should be interested in, a wing that can come in day one and make an impact, plus I believe with Nurse and Rico Hines developing him, his ceiling could be a lot higher than what’s being projected, if we keep this pick I’d be very happy if we took Da Silva💯

ngl if Daryl is as smart/savvy as his reputation suggests he should 100% look at acquiring some late firsts or seconds to add to our rotation! the overwhelmingly false narrative that this draft is weak, will only drive prices of picks down 👀 this is an excellent opportunity for us to acquire NBA-ready guys on cheap, cost-controlled contracts during the era of the new CBA/Apron rules

Tristan da Silva is a perfect fit for us 6'9 220lbs combo forward who can make entry passes, handle the ball when needed, knock down open 3s and make smart defensive rotations absolute no brainer if Devin Carter is not available at #16

There are many of chases it could come true, because if we take the 16. pick he will cost 4 mio. And morey will get a star player first before he sign other players right? Maybe he gets a star player on draft night or he will draft down to loose less money.

Tristan De Silva's athleticism or lack there of, is a big question mark.

NBA drafting history (2017-2023) has not been overly kind to centers without outstanding skillsets that get drafted between picks 8 and 20 Zach Collins ❌️ Bam ✅️ Patton ❌️ Harry Giles ❌️ Jaxson Hayes ❌️ Goga 🤔 Jalen Smith ❌️ (decent player but not worthy of #10) Stewart ❌️ Sengun ✅️ Kai Jones ❌️ Jalen Duren ✅️ Mark Williams 🤔 Derek Lively ✅️ (has Luka btw) not a big fan of it because we are unlikely to get good value out of using it on guys like Missi or Edey

@@MenggiDaPogi while I DON'T disagree with your points about the backup C minutes, "reliable" is not the word I'd use with most of the Cs after Clingan 😂 you're better off getting a good wing at #16 and signing a backup C on the open market than to draft a backup C at #16 and signing a good wing on the open market opportunity cost is the new phrase most NBA fans should familarise themselves with, especially in this new CBA and Apron climate backup Cs are cheaper

The 6'10" Di Silva averages .6 blocks per game at the college level in a weak conference. The last thing the Sixers need is another guy in addition to Embiid who is soft defensively.
