one more 'LF land' tip; for the preview switch, when the shutter is OPEN put a RED dot on the lens body so it's covered by the preview lever when the shutter is shut. ( this acts as an alert to say the shutter is open, and a subtle reminder for us to close it).

one tip from LF land, ALWAYS dummy fire the shutter, to check the condition of the preview system, and to see if the shutter is correctly set, ie makes the noise you expect for the shutter time set, this saves your sanity, as if the release doesn't move, the shutter is either not cocked, or is OPEN, and is a red-flag to stop, think, then DO! ALSO you should have a mechanical safety latch on the magasine back, as it can be relatively easy for a 'bump' to open the back and fog the roll inside!!- if only relying on magnets, even strong ones.

I am seriously considering selling my digital SLR and ordering your SIX 17. I thought about the 12 but really.

You say the Fresnel 'focusses the light into the center of the glass', whereas a Fresnel evenly distributes the light across the glass, making it brighter, which is why a Fresnel is also used in light houses. Correct focussing is important (32 and 45 provide the widest depth of field) as is correct exposure of the film. You need to put a UV filter on to protect the lens from accidents.

This is such a cool addition to the film community. Any chance a Fuji-NW 135mm f5.6 cone coming?

Great to see this addition to the lineup Steve. Will you be offering extra film backs as a purchase option soon?

I have a question about the Six12 Advanced. Does it use the same lens cones as the original Six12, and if so, is the Mamiya Press cone compatible? Been enjoying the camera I bought a few months ago with my Fuji 125mm, but I’ve got my eye on a Mamiya Sekor 75mm…

Hi. I’m glad you’re enjoying your Six12. The Advanced (and all of my other models) now uses a non-magnetic cone which locks in securely with a fixed tab on one end and a sliding latch on the other, so they’re not cross-compatible. However, I’m happy to sort out any cone you need 👍🏻
