Six13 and Friends: Al Hanissim
Музыка
(This video contains Kol Isha)
Miracles never cease! Al Hanissim is a text sung on Purim and Chanukah, two of the many holidays on which we thank God for the miracles performed for us.
As for us in Six13, we're also thankful for the opportunity to do what we love, making music that's shared far and wide. If you'd have told us back when we originally released our own composition for Al Hanissim that it would eventually be performed by dozens of ensembles around the world, we'd have called that a miracle too.
We're excited to present this updated version of one of our signature songs, and honored to be joined on the track by over 300 singers from 22 of those ensembles.
Here's to making live music together again soon. Chag Sameach!

Message for the editor: Good job bro, probably spent multiple hours on this and people don't really thank you that much. So thank you!

This is awesome! Everyone, have a safe and joyful Purim! 🎉❤️
Wonderful! By the end I was in tears. So many outstanding groups, doing everything they can to sing together, even while apart. Chag sameach.
LOVE you guys for including women's voices! ❤❤❤
Fantastic Job by all. Enjoyed seeing all the groups participating
I've just looked this up, and learned it is a prayer on Purim or Hannukah. I am not Jewish but everyone can appreciate the peace and the freedom it brings.
This made me cry happy tears! As a grad of Binghamton (96) and Syracuse (97), I’m thrilled to see both universities represented, but everyone was wonderful. Great job to the singers and videographers!
Not gonna lie. This gave me goosebumps!! MORE PLEASE!
Happy Purim, Everyone.
Love this! So happy Kaskeset could be a part of this video!!

@@kristine.kreations you guys did a great job! sadly, when the editors' job is good, it's harder to notice it so I wanted to point it out.
I grew up in West Orange NJ! Kol hakavoh to the West Orange singing group.
Great unifying video and I probably can't accurately imagine the reality of your planning, organizing, *editing!!!* We appreciate it. Even the confused supporters I see below. You have true courage to not turn off comments, so let me add a little extra for balance. Playing your 2020 covid year Passover vid over and over got me through the tough hours of limbo.
You guys are amazing!
Happy Purim! This made me so happy to see all the different people and groups of all ages singing together!
beautiful collaboration!!!
Powerful!🍷
Brings tears to eyes - lots of Jews from different streams - Kol Hakavod! Just amazing Toddah!

First time with girls... what changed?
Purim and chanukah.
Not Jewish but I love JESUS , & HE commands us to love Israel 🇮🇱

Dude, why would you make a video with kol isha. What are the red lines you won't cross?
Not very tznius
Kol hakavod on the great video, but the "kol isha" warning in the description is offensive to many women. What's next, a "beged ish" warning because women are wearing pants? A "tznius" warning for sleeveless tops?
@cdavis9362

It's not offensive at some more religious ppl don't listen to kol Isha so It's actually respectful that six13 mentioned the kol Isha
@tamarwyschogrod

@@cdavis9362 That doesn't change the fact that this rabbinic prohibition, based on the notion that women's voices are seductive, is seen by many Jews as archaic and misogynistic, literally silencing women's voices. Six13 chose to post a beautiful video featuring many women's voices (kol hakavod to them for that), effectively rejecting the kol isha prohibition, but they undermine that choice by posting the warning, which legitimizes the prohibition. Sometimes you can't have it both ways; respecting one side inherently disrespects the other. One has to wonder how the young women who appear in this video feel about it. How many of them would sing in a concert knowing they would be introduced with the words, "Women are about to sing in front of men, so you might want to leave now"?
