Six Trains in and Around Hamilton Plus Two From Sidney

Ойын-сауық

Hamilton, Ohio is located about 25 miles north of Cincinnati and has the railroad run right through the middle of town. The trains have a 15 mph speed restriction while going through town, so they are quite slow. On this day, NS is running a lot more trains than CSX, running five to CSX’s one! CSX owns the double track, but NS trains coming on and off the New Castle District have trackage rights. NS trains heading north out of Cincinnati towards Fort Wayne, IN use the CSX tracks all the way to New River Jct where they split off onto their own mainline. The New Castle district shares a section of track with CSX from New River Jct to Butler St.

You found spots in Hamilton I’ve not seen. Trains in Sydney were flying. Good video

I’m going back to that spot where I got 174. I loved it at that curve! That spot where I got 189 is about a mile northwest of New River Jct. They do fly through Sidney. It’s cool up there, but it’s a bit of a drive!
