I agree most of my mates were fans of Kauto Star but it was always "The Tank" for me and the guts to win that Henessey took your breath away,

dessie was the horse that made me fall in love with the sport, i was 8 years old and been an avid fan ever since, denmans demo job off topweight ranks high but dessie gave lumps away and beatings regular

Absolutely will never be forgotten. Paul Barber who is now deceased i assume your referring to who owned Denman did'nt breed him. He was bred in ireland by coleman o flynn. Sire was presenting, Dam was polly puttens.

Sprinter Sacre before injury was the best 2 mile horse i had ever seen, but his comeback year (still with a dodgy heart) was unbelievable and very emotional, dont forget Un de Sceaux was the Champion select and a terrific horse but he couldnt get near Sprinter, an incredible training feat and the horse of a lifetime

I was at Cheltenham when Dessie won the gold cup and I’ve never heard a cheer like it anywhere before or since.Spine tingling as he crossed the line.Great day as I had Yahoo each way at 40/1

To this day I swear ruby thought sprinter sacre would come back to him, he just say there on un de sceaux coming round the bend. Either way what a champ sprinter is

Dont forget Crisp was giving Red Rum 1 and a half stone that day, making Crisp's performance probably one of the greatest ever in national history

Had Sprinter backed antepost at 20/1 before his comeback. Then when he ran in sholer chase had a nice four figure bet on. Paid for several holidays happy days

The BBC probably own the rights to show it. That race was in 1990 and Racing TV in its various guises has only existed since 2004.
