Clare kickstarted their Munster Senior Hurling challenge after a second-half turnaround secured their first ever championship victory in SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh, beating Cork 3-26 to 3-24.
Trailing by 0-14 to 0-12 at the break, Brian Lohan's side were blitzed by a 1-03 Cork surge on the restart as an immediate Patrick Horgan goal was bolstered by points for Seamus Harnedy, Declan Dalton and a Horgan ’65 after Shane Barrett’s shot was deflected at 1-17 to 0-13 by only the 38th minute.
Things appeared bleak for the Banner, especially after letting slip a nine-point cushion to Limerick last time out. However, they dug deep and were ignited by an excellent passing move involving John Conlon and Shane O’Donnell who centred to Mark Rodgers to find the net in the 43rd minute.

American here who was dragged to this match by a Cork supporter, very little understanding about the rules, still have no idea how it's the Cork player's fault that the Clare player tried to body check him after the play. When oblivious idiots like me know it was a wrong call, that's saying something

Sean O Donoghue was already on a yellow card. He had broken his hurley. The ball was 10 yards away. He should have run towards the ball and shouldered Shane when he was attempting to get possession of it. -- The rules of hurling are different to ice hockey in that you can’t take the man out without the ball. -- When you’re in possession of the ball or challenging for it, you’re braced for the hit. Otherwise it’s dangerous play to take the man out without the ball.

All you are doing here is showing how ignorant you are to the rules of the sport , you admitted you have little understanding. Maybe ask why it happend and why there was a yellow card instead of acting like you know the rule book inside out

You are blind, look at other angles and what ppl who know what they are talking about are saying . Cork player intentionally shouldered him as Shane tried to make a play for the ball. Also second yellow

O Dear God O Donoghue probably cost Cork that Match with his stupid thuggery he lines up O Donnell with a 3 Rd Man Tackle (was abolished in the 70s) proper little thug he is anyway
