I wish I had watched this video before my last GMAT! I tended to be very nervous once I spent more than 2 mins on one question, and it seems that I focused on the timer more than on the questions. Thanks for your tips and they are really helpful!

GMAT now feels less like a test and more like psychological mind game with odds stacked against us!

Myths; 1. You get scored directly proportional to how many questions you get correct. 2. You must ace the 1st 10 questions 3. You must finish the test. 4. You shouldn't miss consecutive questions. 5. Tough questions deserve extra time. 6. Don't spend more than 90 secs on SC questions.

How do I keep track of time I take per question? Do you recommend writing down the start time before attempting every question?

No! Please don't do so! You would not want to spend so much of your bandwidth on time tracking. Instead, set benchmarks. Eg: finish 10 questions by the time clock shows 45 minutes left

When we say "questions you missed", we mean questions that you answered incorrectly. I hope that helps!

I think the real problem is that you think you are too close to the answer, and say that it's ok if I'm over by a min since I'm very close, I will regret having the wrong answer after wasting 3 mins on this question, specially when I'm so close. This is how you loose marks, and the question was actually very simple, but you made a silly calculation error somewhere, which is why so much time was wasted. Even to guess you may waste time, like to guess a hard question, you might take more time than to calculate the actual answer. The temptation is so strong that you loose so much time without realizing it like addiction to a drug.
