Minister, there is something that you are ignoring here. Why are you only talking about new arrivals who need to apply for Section 23 ONLY? 1. What about those who were in South Africa before that section 23? 2. How about those with section 22 and section 24 not renewed since before Covid who have been trying with online system which was not working properly? 3. How about those with their permit not renewed because the Refugee Reception Centers are taking a certain number per day and they have been sent back on numerous occasions? 4. What happened to the fine which use to be paid by overstays. Other Centers are still helping people who missed their extensions dates because of Home Affairs malfunction, But Pretoria does not. Why?

The Dosmond Tutu Refugee reception center, the most corrupt place in the country. The officers gave for those who can pay even they dont have problem in their country like Bangladish, pakistan while the those Africans who ran from dictators rejected due to not paying for the officers. All the payment has been done through the agents who always find at the resturants near the refugee center. Every refugee forced to pay 6000 rand to those agents . The agents are Somali who has internet cafe at the corner of the center, an Ethiopian guy who has his wife work at the refugee center and many others.

That is being promoted upwards. Example was made when Albert Einstein was asked to be Prime Minister of Israel and he declined saying that he may have the best mind in the world of science but he had no capacity to lead let alone be a PM of any country. In Afrika we have similar situations of the Peter Principle where Deputy Presidents have made for a useless, corrupt, and spineless President…*.
