Agree, I had Tawanchai winning but anything could have happened over 5 rounds, that would definitly be for the best. Overall I also think One should have more Muay Thai fights on their cards, to me their best athletes are in Muay Thai and with so many insanely good fighters in the roster, they should get more exposure.

@@muntje-490 One only does 5 round fights for title fights. Both Rodtang V Haggarty fights were for a title. I honestly think any Muay Thai fight of this level should always be 5 rounds.

I trained boxing, at 3 minutes you body wants to explode! At this level, is asking these fighters a lot, as they are using more than hands to strike! I will not last 10 seconds in a fight like this!

These big fights absolutely require 5 rounds, particularly in the case of Muay Thai bouts

A real high level fight. I feel like Sittichai did just a little bit more, but the fight was honestly very close and it could've gone either way, and there's no loser here. Like everybody else said, a main event and high level fight like this should be 5 rounds!

Sittichai looking sharp in Muay Thai again, I'm so glad. Amazing skills from both, really crisp and controlled, I love it.

Sitthichai have more fighting experience. Tawanchai have good skills and ability. Both fighters are great.👍

Dang, tawanchai is so slick and fast. I didnt expect sittichai to get those sweeps at the end. Sittichai is one of my absolute faves. He looks so ordinary, not strong or fast or super technical, and never changes his facial expression, yet somehow always knows what to do to win. His fights with rvr and grigorian are among my modern favorites.

Very happy for Sittichai, close early rounds but Sittichai raked up some points at the end for the win.

2:07 that 1-2 was so fast & aesthetic.. i love the kid style..

@@assdggertyuty8538 ผมเชื่อว่าคนที่ดูมวยเป็น เขามีสติปัญญามากพอที่จะเข้าใจได้ว่า นี่คือมวยไทยกับมวยไทยชกกัน เข้าใจได้ว่ามันไม่จำเป็นต้องฟาดฟันกันให้ตายในฐานะคนชาติเดียวกัน และนักมวยเขานับถือกันเป็นพี่เป็นน้อง ผมว่าคนดูส่วนใหญ่เข้าใจ เรื่องสปอนเซอร์คงไม่มีผล เพราะรายการONEมันใหญ่มาก และพวกสปอนเซอร์เขาก็คงมีสติปัญญาที่ดีที่จะแยกแยะได้เหมือนกัน

What an absolutely brutal fight, very close, 2 of the best in the sport, 2 of my favorites, what a show of respect for both of them at the end of the fight, one of the reasons to love muay thai

One needs more Muay Thai, always pack cards full of south East Asian mma fighters no ones ever heard of

Giving chances to "nonames" is a good thing.. But then again.. Muay Thai bouts (like this for example) display the absolute highest of levels striking has to offer.

These Thais are masters of muay Thai art. In this fight, it is clear that sittichai who won

For me too but then I saw Sittichai finished strong so I can see why he won.

I liked how respectful they are and sportsmanship they have.

Taiwanchai is a beast. His best attribute is his balance and his physicality. Power style doesn’t mind absorbing shots. Lots of peeps don’t understand how tough these Muay Thai One fighters. Lots of these guys can punch almost as well as top pro boxers. To absorb those types of shots with 4 oz gloves on is incredible.

Damn! 2 high level fighters. Beautiful.

Sad to see Tawanchai lose. Just discovered him yesterday and he reminds me of samakor in his prime.

I love Tawanchai's long guard reminds me of superbon. aswell as his evasiveness and counters and ability to stall kicks and punches with the power he generates from his leading teeps

I thought it was 29-28 Tawanchai but a very close fight. Tawanchai definitely won the second round and Sittichai definitely won the third. But I’ve rewatched this three times now and I believe Tawanchai also won the first, which would make it 2-1 to Tawanchai. If anyone would like to explain why Sittichai might have won the first, I’m all ears

Maybe I can help! By no means an expert but I think Muay Thai is primarily scored not only based on what lands cleanly (on the body/head/leg etc) but what the "impression" the judges will get. For example, if the strike is block but the fighter who block the strike is still off-balanced by the strike, it could very well be considered a scoring strike. The other thing to note is I think body kick score the highest, followed by leg kicks and then punches but if you think otherwise, do let me know! I think many major leg strikes and punches were blocked by both fighters in the first round. However, Sittichai landed one big kick which off-ed balanced Tawanchai at 0:42, another one which landed relatively cleanly at 1:40 and 2 clean leg kicks at 1:23 and 2:20 where Tawanchai did not raise his leg to block. Tawanchai landed a good off-balancing teep at 2:15, a clean body kick at 2:39 which did not off balance but landed squarely on the forearms and a leg kick at 3:02 Based on the above, Sittichai landed more "scoring strikes" and hence took the first round. Some other things to consider: I did not count Tawanchai's kick at 2:53 as scoring even though it landed cleanly on the forearms because Sittichai immediately came forward to punch, which indicates to the judges that the kick "did not affect him". I also did not count Tawanchai's kick at 3:17 because even though it landed on Sittichai's body, Sittichai caught it and managed to off-balance Tawanchai.

Kicks and sweeps count more points than punches in Muay Thai. That's why Thai fighters hv problems with grapplers. They keep grabbing their kicking legs.

Sithichai controlled the circled, otherwise the action was pretty even.

Two sweeps and one throw at the end of the fight let Sititchai win in the eyes of the judges.

3 rounds is not enough, if its muay Thai rules why not 5 rounds.

Awesome fight! Both are so good. But it's really noticeable when Sitthichai was not wasting when his foot was caught he still punched and when he caught Tawanchai's foot he countered as soon as. Tawanchai got some pause moments and Sitthichai noticed those opportunities. Really good fight. Not really sure tho who should win both are awesome 😂

I'm positive that Tawanchai got hurt in the 3rd round. @10:06 Sittichai's lean back-hook-cross landed flush. Followed by a clean body kick. After which there's a slight change in demeanor and Tawanchai slowed down.

It was totally on Sitthichai this match. A well earned victory for the kickboxing legend. 1st round pretty close, 2nd Sittichai caught most of Tawanchai's kicks and counter with many punched and kicks, close though but a bit inclined towards Sittichai. Now 3rd round I bet every judge gave it to Sittichai.

@@constandinosk.3251 Yes and sittichai was falling all over the floor round 2. Only close round to judge, all rounds were close, but to judge was round 1. Sittichai took it for 2 judges because he's bigger name and veteran fighter.
